The world didn't end May 21st...

Re: The world ends tomorrow

I figured out that I'm likely to be on the train when the rapture strikes tomorrow. I hope the driver isn't a believer, as I wouldn't want to be on a driverless train in an earthquake...

potholer54 made a video about this, and I must say I absolutely love this quote someone made in the comments section:
This a great opportunity to sneak out after dark and leave piles of clothes strewn in the streets, especially outside Harold Camping's house and then hiding from 'The Botherers'. The look on their, faces when they realise they've been 'left behind' during The Rapture would be worth the effort.

See this is one area where I wouldn't mind the STATE taking a little power, as long as they remember to give it back.

The train operators should sign a wavier stating that they are atheists or they shouldn't allowed to be behind the controls.

As a matter of fact, it should be required, as it may get other people to think about the issue of god a little deeper. Nothing tends to grab people's attention more than causing THEM inconvenience.

How much of a prick would you have to be to be a believer and still put yourself in a position to cause injury to others tomorrow.

Yeah but if they don't get raptured along with you they're damned anyway and it's their own fault for not accepting Jesus as their saviour...

Maybe (and this is just pure speculation) the theist rapture believer would be doing them a favor, kind of like those people that kill their kids so they don't suffer "because the voices tolod them".

I really hope no one comes to harm tomorrow but the whole religious justification just kind of lends itself to a horrible situation, doesn't it?

I mean, IF christians were congruent with their own belifs, how can they allow us (rest of the world) to go to hell forever? seriously whenever a christian knows I'm anatheist, is he thinking "he is Soooooooo going to hell"? Why won't they try to save me? pricks!

Same thing tomorrow,IF you had Scietific evidence that pointed 100% to a solar flare engulfing the earth and roasting everyone in undescibable agony, wouldn't you do some loved one a favor and spared him/her/it the suffering? (yes I'm aware its the plot from some nicholas cage movie) I mean I did it for my dog, poor thing had liver cancer and we put it down so it wouldn't keep suffering, wouldn't your son, /daughter father/mother deserve the same piety (specilly small kids that can't decide for themselves)?

Nasty territory but lets push through it

IF it came in the news "SUN TO BOIL EARTH OVER THE NEXT WEEK" in the news and it was scientific certanty, would you be able to see your kids screaming for mercy as their eyeballs boiled? or would you "spare" them the pain with a nice S&W to the right temple?

Now lets see, if some cristian is SURE rapture is tomorrow, shouldn't s/he be doing ABSOLUTELLY everything (including torture) to get us to accept chessus as our lord and savior? I mean if it is for real, tomorrow it,´s us who are boilling.

how should somebody 100% certain that the rapture is tomorrow act?

Wouldn't it be much worse from their perspective to just let us ROT IN HELL FOR ALL ETERNITY?

Ah... interesting mussings

Have a nice end of the world!

I'll be driving on an interstate... somehow I think that's even less safe than a train...

I'm thinking it would border on behavior that would, under 'normal' circumstances, get you thrown in an insane asylum. That would be one end of the spectrum and the other end would be to peacefully go join their savior.

It appears that on the surface it would be a normal day at your favorite park.
