The "What game are you currently playing?" thread...

I'm playing a classic right now. Hogs of War. It's bloody hard on the second playthrough once you've unlocked the purple squad :/

No new games have come out, but I'm alternating the following:

Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty World at War (Zombies mode is amazing)
Halo 3
Gears of War 2
Far Cry 2 (the custom maps are fun)

By the end of this year:

Modern Warfare 2
Boderlands
Assassins Creed 2

I've been playing Evony lately. It is a free browser game. Graphics suck, it takes too long, and I can't get enough of it lol.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is my current game... it is really good quality as a game, which makes it an INCREDIBLE game based on a licensed property. It is like a Tomb Raider game, except good.

Awesome. I was really hoping this game wouldn't be just another advertisment for a popular franchise. Y'know when someone has told you they've bought a game that you know is shit (most often movie liscenced games released at the same time as the film) and you just feel disappointed in them for getting it?

I guess I'll give it a go once I get a PS3.

I just made a necromancer for Diablo 2: LoD! =D Will keep playing until I get sick, but I guess I have to make a MF-Barbarian just for nostalgia first ^^

'Spore' which dispite having a completely unrealistic view of evolution is really well put together and addictive, and I'm revisiting 'Mass Effect' to prepare for the new game.

Yeah, I know just what you mean. This is one of the few games I've played that actually lives up to the licence. It benefits from having the voice actors and writers from the animated Batman shows. It really helps when the voice acting is good, and this voice acting is GREAT. Mark Hamill as the Joker!!!

I've heard the XBox version has better graphics... weird, but I guess stranger things have happened.

I'm actually back playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare again. The sequel comes out later this year, and I'm trying to get my skills back to where they were.
I wee my pants when I seen the new trailer for MW 2. Can't wait for that game.
Oh, finally got a bloody hat in TF2!!!

Halo: ODST. Only got it because of my cousin's insistence, but for the price, I might as well milk it for achievements. Beat it on normal the first day I got it, and I have to say that it suffers from that same "split story schism" that Halo 2 had with the Arbiter. COD4 split it's story, and was thoroughly enjoyable. It just doesn't work with Halo for some reason IMO.

I'm also playing Fable II, Soul Caliber IV, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, and Phantasy Star Universe on the PC.

I got Resident Evil 5 but I appear to suck at this game worse than the NPC.

Wow... that's pretty bad. At least your NPC tag along actually helps out, rather than hides and gets kidnapped, and Sheva provides some nice eye candy.

Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway.

No school for about a week(Yay for stupid government!) so I'm trying to finish games that I didn't bother finishing in the past.

Hint: sell your handgun early. Buy a shotgun, a rifle, and a magnum(if you can). On the aztec looking level, be sure to snag the grenade launcher, and buy incindiary rounds. Then, upgrade. keep in mind, when you upgrade a weapon's capacity, you refill on ammo, so use it sparingly, when you are low. Also, if you are near a shop intermission, sell all the treasures.

Doing this, I beat veteran in around three and a half hours, and got the infinite rocket launcher, and bought infinite ammo for my magnum. Needless to say, I'm not bothered by bosses, zombies, certain WALLS, or anything else anymore. It is a very fun game, tho. So stick to it, and ye shall triumph!

Also, I'm currently delving into the world of ff12. I like the new combat system.
