GalCiv2: DA (Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar).
My computer, laptop, is so old that it is obsolete. It was top-of-the-line 5 yrs ago when I bought it. And I cannot play MMOs etc. because of my suck-ass Satellite Internet service. It's better than dial-up, but too laggy - by far - to play games on. So sometimes I fire up the good old games, like:
Rise of Nations
Splinter Cell & Chaos Theory
Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising
Company of Heroes
Call of Duty & sequel
Codename: Panzers & sequel

Nobody seems to want to hear about the good old games.

Currently I'm trying to catch up to the korean with my SC skills in preparation for SC2, and yes, I am failing miserably as expected (damn koreans).

Other than that I'm currently playing two shooters, NeoTokyo (a mod on the hl2 engine) and TF2.

I've too played through both of the overlord games recently, and even though the steering of the sequel was better I somehow ended up preferring the first one.

Also I'm proudly an ex-mmo gamer, haven't touched a mmo for 6 months now. To quote Mel Gibson in Braveheart "FREEEEEEEDOM!!!"

Geezer Gamer here. Back in my day, we had to make our own config.sys files.

For every game.

Uphill.

Both ways.

Anyone ever own Commodore 64, Atari, Sega original, Nintendo NES original?
All of the above.

Commodore 64 is where I learned hex (okay, so we didn't use 1's and 0's, we used hex)

Atari - I rocked at Pitfall and Defender

Sega - Sonic, what more can I say

NES - Legend of Zelda and Metroid, of course.

I had the C64 and the Atari (2600). Also worth mentioning: Intellivision.

I *loved* my Commodore. Elite, the vector graphics-based space combat/trading sim; Pool of Radiance and the other AD&D "Gold Box" games; Red Storm Rising. Oh, the gams on them dames!

I had an atari, Apple IIe, and ninetendo. Had a neighbor with the sega, but I always preferred nintendo...

I think I played on the Apple IIe the most... until about 1987 when I got an 386dx and then never looked back.

Anyone own multiple pc's during the early 90's? I remember networking multiple pc's playing games like DOOM! (my older brother created the best level for 1v1) those would have to be the most epic of my PC days and DukeNukem and Wolfenstein!

Zelda, TMNT, Mario, Wizards and Warriors, Ikari Warriors, Sonic, MegaMan are my most epic of console games.

About to start Professor Layton which many, many people have recommended to me. IT HAD BETTER BE GOOD.

I used to be a huge gamer, specifically PC gamer up until around January when I finally dumped Windows and got Linux. Linux is awesome, but, unfortunately, doesn't game very well, even with Wine. I haven't touched a PC game since then. However, I do use my consoles from time to time, and my roommate and I just finished a multiplayer campaign of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II. We also play Soul Calibur II and Super Smash Bros. Melee occasionally. Yes, I know they are older games, but we're just some poor college kids; we don't own any current gen consoles. Besides, I still think Gamecube's the best.

Ok, I'm currently alternating between Half-Life 2; Half-life 2: Episodes 1 and 2; Counter-Strike: Source; HL2: Deathmatch; Left 4 Dead; Portal; and Team Fortress 2.

Yep, I'm keeping it in the Valve family :D
