The truth about Australian Aboriginals

Read what is going in Australia this will disgust you! and watch this one as well! [note: this YT video is in relation to a man of Aboriginal decent who, with a large group of other Aboriginal men, attacked a 50 yr old man with his own cricket bat, killing him with one blow (in front of his children and grandchildren) whilst the man and his family were enjoying a day at the beach on CHRISTMAS DAY! The attacker was not charged with murder!]

Nothing gets done about it the issues that exists among the Aboriginal culture and it filters into the main cities and towns (which is where I live). Currently, and for the past 6 months or so, my fiance and myself have been having our own problems with threats from people of Aboriginal decent, it has not escalated past threats thankfully. If I disappear from this forum, my retaliation to the follow through on these threats will likely be the cause especially when these threats involve my loved ones.

We have been trying very hard through various other means to avoid and prevent any conflict or violence occuring but as it is instigated by people of Aboriginal decent, other people in the community and especially the police do not want to know about it and say they cannot do anything about it (out of fear the local Aboriginal community will play the race card as they do so very often which has allowed them in the past to get away with murder, rape, assault etc and also resulted in law suits against those that "falsely accuse them").

I'm writing this just so somebody knows the truth about whats going on (as nobody seems to listen to us in this country) and the reasons behind any actions I may (or may not) take in the future, on the other hand I hope these problems can be resolved peacefully and I remain a regular in these forums *fingers crossed*.

Peace.

This has jumped into conspiracy theory or threats of race-based attacks on your part, hasn't it? I mean, no offense... but really?

I'm just being honest Joe, I understand where your coming from though and I'll make a couple edits and see what you think.

Also it can't be a conspiracy theory as I have evidence to back it up. Out of curiosity did you read the full article I posted above?

I thought you might be from Alice or something - in which case I would fully understand your concern. I didn't realise Perth had such an aboriginal problem. Your not down near Rockingham or somewhere similar are you?

Reminds me of a much larger scale (and far worse) issue that happened on a tiny little island called Pitcairn. There on the island many girls were rapped by relatives and other people and their mothers shockingly said things like "They asked for it".

'Culture' and 'tradition' is no excuse for violence. God this is sickening...

Perth does have a problem, their is a problem among the Aboriginal culture in most of the major cities. I'm not near Rockingham, I'm about 80 mins north of there, but in the article I posted above there is a section:

"A prime example is Robert Bropho, an influential elder who had for years effectively banned child welfare workers and the local Aboriginal medical service from the Swan Valley Nyoongar camp. His indifference to the plight of abused girls was disgusting. He was eventually jailed for sexual matters involving a girl under 13."

I live about 10 mins away from that camp (which has since been closed down but the shitty buildings they lived in are still erect), there are many many more of these camps around the outskirts of the major cities and as I mentioned before it filters into "normal" society and on a political level there is not much done about it, it mostly just gets ignored, it's pretty much a f&*king mess now and innocent children and people such as my fiance and I (and others) get caught in the middle of it all, an exert from the article I posted:

"These men not only intimidate their own people but the white health workers, bureaucrats and others who work in these communities. Lara Wieland, a former flying doctor who spent three years in far north Queensland, said last year that public servants who reported abuse were themselves verbally abused and threatened by men in positions of power.

"Some of these men were considered by many in the community to be perpetrators of child abuse themselves. Yet time and time again we saw them wield the power and control in the communities and saw government departments and officials cower in fear, turning a blind eye rather than (be) accused of being a racist by these men, which was their common ploy.""

I think I still need to get more information on this issue before I make up my mind on the issue. It seems to major to just be convinced by one article.

Well I can give you some personal evidence that occurred just yesterday:

I play AFL for a local team and thankfully we have no Aboriginals on our team, however the opposition had about 5 on theirs. The one's that are well disciplined and respectful can be very good AFL players (good natural ability as you rely on instinct). The players they had were ill-disciplined and disrespectful, one of our players tackled one of the Aboriginal players (it was a fair tackle within the rules) and when the Aboriginal player got up off the ground he immediately starting getting very aggressive towards my teammate and I believe he threw a few punches but missed, then his Aboriginal friend came running across from the other side of the field and attacked my teammate (who has done nothing wrong, bare in my mind), the scuffle was separated but the Aboriginals continued racially taunting my teammate and abusing him, the umpire red carded the Aboriginal player and sent him off, however it took about ten minutes for his teammates to get him off the field. As he we was walking from the field he called out to my teammate and pointed at him and threatened to kill him using the *slit throat* gesture several times and restating he knrew my teammate lived in the suburb where I live. At three quarter time when the teams huddled up the four or five Aboriginals players starting in-fighting with their own team! (You just don't do that ever) and were throwing punches at their teammates. Eventually four of the five decided to leave the ground and quit the game and were calling out to the fifth Aboriginal player to get off yelling "your Boriginal aren't ya! get off!" as he stayed on the ground they also yelled out "f$%kin' pussy!". All this in broad daylight in front of spectators, women, children and umpire officials.

This sort of behavior happens week in week out and is not secluded to the football fields or or the outback communities, it also occurs in the city areas and their behavior can be much worse as their accessibility to drugs and alcohol is much easier. If you ever come to Perth Jacob i'll be able to show you what they're really like and within a week and you'll be able see for yourself.

I also have some friends here who just moved over from New Zealand not long ago and one of the first encounters they had with Aborigines was in a bank where a 4 or 5 year old Aboriginal child (with his family present) pulled down his pants and started pissing inside the bank against a wall, and nobody said anything (probably because they were scared of them)! One of my fiance's best friends was driving down a local street near her home and she witnessed what appeared to be a 9 or 10 year old girl being forced, by a much older Aboriginal man, to give him a headjob! I'm not making this shit up Jacob, there is a problem here and in most other major cities but I'm assuming no-one in other parts of the world hears about it because it's not very good for tourism, or our international image. If you want to look at a controversial attempt by the government in the 70's to help rectify this problem check out the "Stolen Generations".

The article that I posted above is the probably the best article I've ever seen written on the issue. The one section that sums up the majority of the Aboriginal people is this one:

"Indigenous communities have to recognise that it is impossible to hide from a globalised world behind an ossified sense of tradition. They have to realise they are part of Australian society as a whole and they have to face up to the high rate of social crisis among them. Indigenous communities cannot argue that they are not part of Western culture when they are eager devourers of it, consuming drugs, television, pornography, alcohol, junk food, cars and rap music.

Last year Rosalie Kunoth Monks, who chairs the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Education, said Aboriginal people were on a path of cultural suicide and needed to accept some blame for the choices they had made. She added that land and culture were no longer sufficient to sustain identity and that people must accept change. "To be part of the economy and a contributing member of society we have to take that journey," she said. "It is my belief that the confusion will only be resolved through a new sense of identity and that comes through when you connect with other people, look at future pathways and not be so internalised."

Yes, there are considerable health issues; yes, there are too few police in remote communities; yes, there is a shortage of women's shelters; yes, one of the main problems is alcohol, yet it has been successfully banned in some communities. But one of the most insidious and intractable problems is welfare. Most of these communities have no employment and people exist on welfare their whole lives. As a result, a large number of men have nothing to do.

To put it quite simply, an idle man is a dangerous man."

I don't consider myself particularly intolerant, though I think what people think qualifies as that varies considerably, ie I will judge people based on their heritage and don't apologise for that, however where I draw the line at 'fair' is that I don't deprive individuals a chance to prove themselves to me and prove me wrong (ie segregation of 'Coloured people' in America would prevent white people from socialising and thus altering their views on the topic).

An example is if a black man came up to me, dressed in 'ghetto' clothing and was using ghetto slang, I would ask him to leave or leave myself... however take the same black guy in appearance, who is now an English born black individual (many of which I find quite charming), who acts sophisticated, talks politely etc. That to me is the line between true racism and this misleading view of it. If you look at a person of a different ethnicity and have no desire to be near them or are actively uncomfortable around them for it.

Another example is if I was forced to choose between the life of two people (ie 'both were drowning, could only save one' cliche), between a white guy and a black guy of similar age. All things being equal I'd choose the white guy because I instinctively see him as my kin, however if I was then told the black guy was a doctor and the white guy was a criminal, then my choice would change. To me what the tipping point is for that scenario indicates HOW SEVERE an individuals discrimination is (remember its not a question of 'if' but 'how much', we all have our prejudices).

Anyway... now that I've just spent 10 minutes hopefully convincing people I'm not really a bigot (something I hate having to preface before discussing any such topic). My first hand experience with the aboriginals in my hometown was fairly limited (theres very few), however the place where I am now in college has a considerable Aboriginal community, to the point that it is a little bit of a culture shock. However my first hand experiences have left quite a great deal to be desired (some have harassed myself or friends/family, asking for money, yelling abuse, pushing/bumping into people when walking past or just giving violent gestures or rude looks). The closest I've met to a decent aboriginal was a slightly cantankerous old woman who sat behind me on the train. Also this is something people don't tend to discuss, but its generally known that they're about 5-8% of the population of this city, but about 25% of the trouble-makers at pubs and a high proportion of those who commit acts of vandalism. My point is while I feel I am open minded enough to accept it should I meet a nice Aboriginal, for the most part the community is either hostile towards whites or actively cause trouble, and I don't feel I should have to mix words when figures and the personal experience of myself and almost everyone I've met supports it.

I've never been to an area with a large aboriginal community like Alice Springs, but I know people who have, and I wont go into great detail, but they were pretty shocking (alcohol abuse by children as young as 8-12, people being robbed leaving liquor stores for the alcohol, vandalism etc). Also for those outside Australia, our new fearless leader, Kevin Rudd, as part of his election promise to formally apologise to the Stolen Generation (which Ladiesman mentioned), and while I don't condone the action taken, the generally accepted motive was some sort of British atrocity (ie will take your babies just to fuck with you, brainwash them etc), when my more personal research has suggested that it may have been more motivated by a confused sense of altruism (ie alot of these individuals of mixed heritage were not accepted by the Aboriginal community, and were often mistreated or harmed). Anyway, the previous PM Howard offered a personal apology, but said it would be inappropriate for him to apologise on behalf of Australia (which I agree with), anyway K.Rudd promised to, and did (you can see it here), anyway shortly after there was talk of Aboriginals sueing the government within hours after this was aired (similar to what happened in Canada with the natives).

Anyway, while I acknowledge the harm of Europeans inflicted apon Aboriginals, however I have no intention letting them use this as an excuse to get away with murder (literally). There are major, endemic problems within aboriginal communities and nothing would make me happier to work alongside aboriginal leaders to address them, but this stupid attitude of passing the buck to the government, telling them they're the governments fault and thus they sit on their asses waiting for some kind of government handout to fix it all is completely bullshit. They have a responsibility to fix their own problems and the government should aid good initiatives as they appear. I also object to what I see as blatant propaganda, particularly in schools (ie Aboriginal law is taught in our schools, as well as a heavy focuse on vague and often embellished claims of atrocities, though no one would deny there was violence and mistreatment on both sides).

[/diatribe]

Just finished reading the article. While I can't say I'm that surprised, I've heard of serious problems in some areas but I have never heard of reports of anything THAT fucked up before... Of course this leaves the issue of 'how to solve it', and the obvious problem is the aboriginals don't want the white government there, and the aboriginal leadership has failed dismally. So until one of those changes, they're kinda screwed.

This stupid 'playing the race card' seems to be a problem all over, and I have little respect for those who try to use one of the best and most important virtues in the west (desiring unity/understanding between races) against us.

We all know that judging another based on their skin color or ethnicity is ridiculous, but I do think it's justifiable to hate some cultures down to the core.

They'll only say it proves that they need the Christian god in their lives. They're living in sin whilst separated from him and desperately need to be saved.

I'd love to see Ray or Kirk try and spend a week in an outback Aboriginal community or in one of the third-world-like camps on the outskirts of town preaching the "Gospel", that would make for good YT entertainment.
