The stupidest thing a creatonist has ever said to you

arg-fallbackName="ShootMyMonkey"/>
I laugh whenever silly evilutionsist scientist talk about "peer review" articles and ignore the fact that nothing in the world has been more peer review than the Bible.

If the Big bang was actually true, then why can't we just get energy from energy in order to power our houses?

If gravity caused the earth to be round then how did the universe get to be round when there's no gravity in space? Answer me that, mister genius! You said the gravity has to exceed the plastic of the material, but the universe is a vacuum... so why's it round, huh?

Those are some hideously stupid comments.

Well I'm trying to dissect why someone on youtube is defending genocide if god ordered it in the bible, I'll come back here if there is a particularity entertaining sentence or two. But beyond that I just got through explaining how ID is an unscientific concept, where it came from, how it's creationism, and that it has no peer reviewed papers or credible biologists to back it up. She then went on to tell me "I read halfway through a book by scientists, so it's science"...

1. Believe in god and you'll have everything in this world at your feet.

2. Do you believe in a god?

1. Yes.

2. Why aren't you the king of the world?

1. Because, it's not god's desire.

2. ... it's clear bro, your god isn't as powerful as you believe.

---

A younger associate told me. Let's go make a baby. I asked why? She says it's in the bible. "Go forth and multiply.'

I'm not sure if I would have bothered to ask.. kudos on your restraint.

general subject was why god doesn't help starving children
My solution to droughts and famine: Move where there are no droughts and famine. I really fail to see why atheists expect God to act like we are always 5 years old. We are adults now. The butt-wiping stopped a long time ago.

He must be very ignorant.

LOL doesnt the bible say that we must become like little children to enter the kingdom of heaven? Isnt God gonna come and fix all our problems for us anyway, and permanently ground everyone who was naughty? Isn't the logic used in the bible basically meant to be understood by 5 year olds? "God good Devil BAD!"

A much nicer response then he got from others lol

here is the thread OP so you can judge for yourself
Perhaps my other thread about "groundbreaking proof" was a bit hasty. Reading the responses in that thread, it was clear to me that I was wrong. It turns out that man is nothing more than a wolf in sheep's clothing, which jesus WANRED us about. Ironically, the atheists knew he was a wolf in sheep's clothing before I did.

But honestly, when I first came to this site I thought I would be world famous because of my proofs and possibly awarded the Nobel Prize for proving God's existence. For example: My point about "this universe being exactly what we would see if God exists and if God did NOT exist, then we wouldn't expect to see anything at all," has gone unrefuted."

Now, for the main focus of this thread. I will try to keep it short and to the point:
We all know about the story of the man who sinned and Jesus said "Let he who is without sin cast cast the first stone." Nobody threw anything. Now, what most people MISS about the situation is that Jesus HIMSELF was without sin. HE could have cast the first stone and kept right on casting stone upon stone. However, Jesus did not do this. Do you know why? Because everyone will be judged on Judgment Day. Jesus was OVERTURNING the law from the OT.

I have refuted all the FAQ to Christians by atheists, destroyed the problem of evil, shattered the Euthyphro dilemma, proved 100% without a doubt that free will and omniscience do not contradict each other, proven that God is loving despite his justice killings, and have used the Bible to PROVE why God doesn't reveal Himself to us.

On the ending note I feel that we should be very critical of the text written in the Bible because it is hard to take into account voice tonality from written text. Something that seems like a "haha gotcha!" contradiction that an atheist found, might really only be a tongue-in-cheek remark by Jesus. I plan to study the Gospels with voice tonality on my mind to try and see if the "haha gotcha!" contradictions that atheists find are really just Jesus having a little funny humor at the atheist's expense. This could revolutionize the way we see Jesus and bring more atheists to the faith.

The creationist on youtube stated that genocide in the bible is just out of context....sigh
Another person told me that because I am an atheist I don't believe in objective morality, that I am a nihilist and a solpsist, and then I'm ignoring the big bang theory which states there is an original state of existence which must be god. I'm not sure if this guy is smoking crack or if he's just a dedicated troll, either way I haven't heard so much blatant ignorance since the last time I saw a video of Kent Hovind talking.

I always wonder what context could possibly justify the wholesale slaughter of city states, including babies and children (and often raping the women).

On topic:

Also on topic (though this is a bit of a spoiler for this excellent movie (this is the best part), you should really just watch the whole thing):

I'll start believing him once he has put his work up for peer-review. Funnily enough, people like this never do it.

I'm not kidding....
I believe that God created the heavens and the Earth. I have no proof, but you have no proof that he didn't. I believe that when God created the trees he didn't create a seed and plant it. He created a fully grown tree. It had the appearance of age, but it was brand new. When he created Adam I don't think he created a sperm and an egg and grew them into an adult. I believe he created an adult man. The appearance of age was there, but he was not "old". I think God did the same thing with the Earth. I don't think he started with a singularity.

arg-fallbackName="magicalpants"/>
Someone told me that I cannot have any proof that god doesn't exist. So when I said that means that you cannot have any proof that god exists he got upset and started protesting at my comments as if I had committed a hate crime against Christians. He also told me that if I'm a secular humanist that I cannot believe in objective morality because it goes against the secular humanist manifesto. He's thus far refused to explain what manifesto he's talking about, anyone have the damnedest clue as to what he's referring to?

Another person wanted me to explain how the bacterial flagellum could have evolved, after I gave him a link to talk origins he replied:
LOL: The stones rolled down a hill into a pile following an earth tremor, where the wind further shaped them until the so-called "Great Pyramid" was formed. Yeah, and the scientific evidence for any of this?

I have no idea what the hell he's talking about but it's easily the stupidest thing a creationist has ever said to me.
