The stupidest thing a creatonist has ever said to you

arg-fallbackName="CosmicJoghurt"/>
Have I been banned from EvolutionFairytale?

It says, "[#1000B] You are not allowed to visit this community.".

Oh wait, they kind of suck at keeping me from reading the forums after the ban.

Here's some cake:
Too much whining. We don't like whining. Whining is bad.(Have I made myself clear?) All whiners have been banned.

Please carry on.(Without the whining.)

I'm a whiner. God, I love these people.

The thread can be found here, there are many familiar faces on it. I recommend reading the whole thing. There are bits of golden creationist's stupidity throughout the whole thread.

Apparently so am I... I got the same error, although when I have seen others banned it states on their profile that they are banned. So I don't know???

I am curious if any of the creationists were considered to be whiners

At least you lot were allowed to join that forum.

Yea, lucky.

I pretty much already realized it was just a colossal waste of time posting over there, I think I had maybe 2 decent responses in ~100 posts. The reading comprehension alone is atrocious. But add in the moving goalposts, red herrings and general denial ... there is really no point in discussing anything. But, it is a little aggravating that I got banned. I have no idea why... I wasn't even involved in the nonsense about Cosmic's age. I haven't even posted in over a week. So whatever, I guess that's how they want to run their forum - silence all opposition.

I'm more shocked about how they've designed it so you can't even visit the forum after you've been banned. Needless to say a VPN fixes that right up, but it's still pretty fucking stupid.

Well, it was kind of exhausting, though. It's like arguing with a kid, except he's older than you and supposedly has a college degree. That's pretty much the only difference.

The block is based on keeping you logged in via a cookie, so you only need delete the related cookie. But yea, they don't want you posting quotes to "stupidest things a creationist has ever said" threads all over the internet.

I'd be pretty sure no webmaster would be so stupid as to think a cookie based site ban would be sufficient to keep people he knows are technically minded away from his site. All that will do is piss them off!

I'd say its a filter to remove mostly one post trolls and those there to stir the shit.

Although in the case pf EFT we could easily test it by setting up a several accounts over time and ensuring that each account posts only absolute factual data... which they might not like or which is bound to be argued against by the uneducated and then publicly document the results of the webmasters banning. It'd be something else that they wouldn't want to be posted across the web...and ironically the ensuring stuff isn't posted action of banning...would be data in the study...lol Plus theres lots of lulz... and indeed lots more material for this thread.

I'll accept we are dealing with creationists here. And whilst they continue to say these silly things, and insist they are valid and carry some efficacy, they also seem to recognize that they don't want them spread around too much.. which is sort of self contradictory. But having said that theirs no form of duality that can match the amazing Olympic level of mental acrobatics performed on a daily basis by the creationist creed.

For sure if the Olympic Games ever decide that 'Total Nonsense' is worthy of being classed as a sport then Team Bible Land will walk away with the gold every time!

I haven't been back to EFT after I posted my last reply on December 20th, so their new-found idiocy is a bit of a shock to me.

I am curious as to why it would be the creationist's misunderstandings that you refer to when the science is leaning toward the creationist's viewpoint? Should it not be the evolutionist's viewpoint that has to be modified?

That's the first post after I showed them that macroevolution does happen even according to the most stringent conditions and that information does increase, according to any definition of "information" and "increase" any creationist ever has come up with.

This was a few pages after they told me evolution is irreproducible and that scientists should design experiments to test if evolution were true.

Strange, my profile page doesn't say "banned" anywhere. Is it supposed to?

I don't know. Others that have been banned have "banned" noted on their profile. But its not there for me either and I am still unable to access. I emailed Fred Williams (the site owner / administrator) and inquired as to if and why I had been banned, and he said he will look into it, but as of yet has not replied. I assume he won't, but I might be wrong. But whatever ...

This should make you laugh ...

Yea, the ban itself is a filter, but once you log in, it keeps you logged in so that you cannot access the forum at all. That part is done with a cookie.

Yea, this would be kinda pointless. Everyone pretty much knows this is how it works. They can't present one thing I did that even remotely deserved a ban. Oh wait whining ... I whined that Sammy was equating evolutionist and atheist when I clearly told him I wasn't an atheist and that 'On the Origin of Species' was not my bible or anyone else's for that matter. I whined that Calypsis was rude and every time I answered his question, he would move the goalpost. I whined that Gilbo would not address the issue that I was trying to bring up but instead danced around it, changing criteria at will. I whined that none of them could stay on topic but had to keep farting around to avoid facing their own colossal contradictions.

They obviously don't care one bit about reputation or about the truth, but only that they have a comfortable little happy community. They don't want to debate or discuss, but only to preach and pat each other on the back. So going after them to make them look foolish would only be ... ah, foolish.

Yea, I called them on this inconsistency - especially Gilbo - but he danced around and around. :?

So did you get banned?

No reply yet from the webmaster/admin/moderator. I have no intention of getting my account back, but I'd argue with the webmaster for the lulz.

I think what you mean... rather ironically... is that EFT is a site for whiners only...and ironically if you start pointing out things that require some sort of thought pattern to emerge in your cerebral cortex... then you're asking for someone to press the ban button, on the pretense that you are whining?

Anyway I sort of meant taking literal factual things and not pointing out anything about anyone else that might be subjective....

Or sign up faux creationist accounts and make whining comments at yourself.... and see what happens. And of course publish the results... HAven't got the time for all that myself... it'd need a lot of accounts... and they would twig it.

ButI take your point... It would truly be the most pointless study of creationist psychology.... unfortunately its really the only use I can see for creationists from a study point of view.... that and a DNA test of the lot of them to examine how well they have manage to artificially select one another for breeding stock over the past number of centuries in the Appalachians..... I think they might be selecting for fertility and stupidity...a truly lethal combination.

In other words to fall into the creationist mind trap as someone educated in any way you'd need to brain yourself with a rusty fork up the left nostril... If not then you have to be genetically disposed to it from selection... or as its referred to in the case of creationists... inbreeding!

I have found the gem, of all gems of creationist bullshit over-generalizations. Coming from no other than Gilbo himself:
There have been many cases of extraordinary fears achieved by the ancient civilisations. I remember 5 years ago reading an article about a fossilised hammer head which had a chemical composition of iron which was claimed to be impossible with our own smelting processes.

However the evolutionist will claim that these things were done by aliens, not advanced humans in ancient times.

Brilliant. He's not even being ironic.

Yea, I saw this ... since when does iron fossilize ????

This seems to be gilbo's source

But this story seems to have some circulation this seems to be one of the better treatments of this find.

However, there are a lot of things that make this find questionable. The chemical composition is unusual, but I can't confirm that it is impossible. And it is likely that chlorine is a contaminate. 96% pure iron - no carbon? that doesn't sound like it would make a good hammer - iron is very brittle without alloys.

The things they call evidence

But this is a strange statement ... does he think that advanced humans lived 135 mya in the Cretaceous?

When I had a brief stint at EFF, I thought Gilbo was the most coherent person there, he seemed, while wrong, at least a bit knowledgeable.

However, this is one of the most alarming examples of horse shit I have ever seen.

Interestingly, potholer54 has already gone over the hammer, notice who it is who mentions aliens?
