The signature thread

forgotten observer

Dear LOR members, I have thought of an idea which could form interesting discussion
In this post you may, if you wish, discuss your signature how you came across it, what it means to you and why you chose it as a signature
For example my signature is a quote from rau le creuset from gundam seed I find the quote intriguing as it highlights the idea that all people are born in to innocence until corrupted by the nature of other men.
I realise that not everyone's Signature is philosophically meaningful and that's fine, post at your own discretion.
P.S in particular draganglas' and scaryblue's signatures intrigue me the most.

Forgotten observer.

Mine is probably recognisable to most of you as the symbols from the 4 suits of playing cards.

The reason I have it is because I enjoy learning card tricks, and I think learning about them and trying to work them out is a good exercise in critical thinking.

For those of you who have a pack of cards knocking around and want to impress people I'd recommend checking out this youtube channel.

Cool trick, thanks for sharing... And welcome to the boards :)

Prepare yourself for the most tedious post you will ever read.

My signature? I can't remember, it was off something I was watching at the time.

Sorry for not giving you ample warning so you could ensure you were not halfway up a ladder or tree while you were reading this. :)

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

I took my signature from someone's home page on YouTube, back when one could add lots of text to their home page. I had it on my YouTube home page, until the newest update. Ever since I was a child, I have loved fossils and bones. It links back to my YouTube channel, because when I started posting here I was making videos. The bottom part of my signature is supposed to look like a long bone. I think it is fantastic.

Is my sig still there? If it is, I should probably change it. Not a lot of theists coming by these days that need a little help understanding terms.

Edit: Oh yeah, there it is.

Over-simplified, generalized way of explaining part of the way I see the world. At least that's what I think my sig still is. I'll check after posting this.

I've been meaning to change mine, simply to have a new joke following my posts, but at any rate, mine is completely lifted from one of my favorite old web comics, that doesn't get updated anymore

austra: That's what she said.
Laurens: you should totally link to your music channel in your sig. Just sayin, you're good.
Frenger: Thanks. I think you saved my pony collection from certain destruction had I not braced myself and leapt out of my chair in surprise.
TYH: I see that guy all the time at work but the volume is always muted. I just assumed he was another Faux talking head. Sounds like he breaks the mold for that channel. That made me laugh, thank you!
WarK: I've legitimately used that to avoid the annoying "I don't follow sports" discussion.
Prole: I dig it.
IBSpify: Yours makes me laugh every time I see it.

I need to see mine to comment on it. I forget what it is. I'll edit this momentarily.

There we go. It's a verse from the song "One Of My Lies" by Green Day.

Love this song. I grew up listening to Green Day, been a fan for 20 years now - sad almost. This is off their second album, Kerplunk, and the message is, I think, pretty straightforward.

I have a quote from a meta-fictional book, which happens to be a Bible. I like the idea of warring factions of religions folding together into large conglomerates (e.g., the Orange Catholics) and re-writing their holy scripture. I also like it as a bit of a snark at trans-humanism.

Occasionally I change to "La liga de la raison extermina monstrous" which goes with my avatar.
