I found this quiz a long time ago, and thought it would be interesting to see what everyone else is. So, take it and post the results along with percentages.

You are a Social Liberal (66% permissive) and an... Economic Liberal (13% permissive).

You are best described as a: Socialist
You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.

Not totally sure about the "You exibit.." stuff, doesn't the whole point of the quiz work on a subjective viewpoint of Right and Wrong? I'm sure NeoCons think they're right. Some of the even KNOW they're right.

Anyway, now to retake the quiz from as many outlooks as possible until the sweet novelty wears off.

80% Socially permissive, yeah that actually looks about right. As for 35% economically permissive, I would have thought that to be a higher number. Maybe I'm more economically "left" than I thought.

On other political tests I score differently though. So I'm taking this with a grain of salt, although I usually end up close to Ghandi's political orientation, and I did this time, so maybe it is fairly close.

Seems close, I typically consider myself something of a left leaning centrist.

My results were economic liberal and social liberal, and overall a socialist.

I'm actually an anarchist communist and an ecoshaman.

But I still thought that quiz was less bias then most I've seen. It's would be great for people who know nothing about politics yet.

I reject your quiz, for the inherent bias required to create simple questions to address very complex issues.

Umm, I would call bullshit on the liberal vs. conservative labels when talking about economics. Rather, both Economics and Social matters would be better labeled as favoring Freedom vs. Regulation. Everyone here seems to believe in Social Freedom, most favor Economic Regulation for whatever reason, while a few like myself favor Economic Freedom. I understand if Socialist might be offended by being labeled as counter to economic Freedom, but I am currently offended by being labeled "conservative" for wanting more Liberty in a Free Market. The labels used by this quiz just don't work as well as they should. Perhaps economics could be labeled a matter of Socio-Economic Justice vs. Free Market Prosperity; that way both sides could have a positive conotation

They are just labels, don't give them any more importance than necessary. I have no problems in saying that I'm against economic freedom, although other terms like "colectivist" or what you sugested sound better

And your positions are essencially "left" in social terms and "right" on economic ones - since the "right" holds conservative values, your positions on the economy are considered a conservative value.

arg-fallbackName="MikeLibertarian"/>
Well, my primary problem with being labeled conservative is that, from a Libertarians point of view at least, is that none of my views are "conservative" in the regular meaning of the term. I know simple labels should not be given too much importance yet in a political environment where they are, I am often wrongly pressed into service with the political ideology commonly know as Conservatism and by extention the Republican Party (US politics anyway). From a Libertarian's stand point, we believe in Liberty for all matters, "Conservatives" claim to believe in Liberty yet would impose their particular religious morality on Society, "Liberals" are aptly named Socially yet seek to regulate and as a result limit prosperity in the name of equality of results, and finally the Statists ("State-ists") seek controls and regulations for all matters and believe that government is always the answer (like the God of religion).

To better address your second point; Libertarianism is full belief in Liberty, and Statism/Totalitarianism is full belief in Government control. I would posit that "left" and "right" are the ones who cherry pick when Liberty is best and when government is best; at least from a Libertarian's point of view.

Most amusing question ever was something like: Does being poor and black give you an advantage getting into college?
