A few of my friends, previously respected, saw it. In their newly stoner state, they decided it was a mind blast and suggested me to watch. I did. Do I regret it? Kind of. I regret being subjected to such .... stuff. Yet, I am glad to further know what some people actually believe.


In my opinion, it vaguely ties together illegitimate ideas with no facts or proof and then proceeds to tell the audience that all the facts and proof presented can be cross checked. Kind of funny, though.

Alex Jones needs to be provocative to keep his audience of stoners, conspiracy nuts and paleo-conservatives. It wouldn't matter who the president is because all politicians are equally corrupt. He should stand as a representative if he cares that much. It's easier to sit around and bitch about it, though.

Though it's safe to say no ethical person will win a US presidential election anytime soon, some of them are less selfish and care, at least a bit, about morality. Encouraging someone to vote is pointless because a handful of votes will not affect the final outcome. If you really want to have a say in who gets elected, you need a lot of money.

Whatever your view of the legality of the recount in Florida, the fact remains that the margin of victory was, officially, 537 votes.
Of course if that is not good enough for you:

2000: New Mexico Presidential election - 366 votes (even closer than Florida)
2002: Colorado 7th Congressional District - 121 votes
2004: Washington Gubernatorial election- 133 votes
Montana House of Representatives, District 12 - 2 votes
2006: Oklahoma House of Representatives, District 25 - 2 votes
2008: Alaska House of Representatives, District 7 - 1 vote
Minnesota US Senate - 312 votes

Many more examples exist, but I restricted myself to just the past 10 years.

No need to actually cross check, the fact that they've told you to do it must means that it can be done, thus it's prove, and your too lazy anyway.
Actually I think the more Alex Jones goes on about checking the facts the less likely his viewers are to do it.

I used to watch it alot, but at the time how government and business worked was a big unknown to me.
