I don't typically make statements like this... but it is a genuine observation...
21 out of 21 of the representatives that sponsored those bills were Republican.

I can not agree with that.

It is obvious that in Islamic countries where a lot of people can not read or write, that what the religious leaders say is taken for granted.
Yeah, in the USA they can read and write, but I think a lot of these people just simply do not realise what impact their vote has on society. They are so being filled by crap, like that from FOX-tv, and probably what they are being told in their own church, they are simple acting blindfolded, ... I think.

Not stupid, ... but ignorant, imho.

And besides, ... the creationist know very well what they are doing. Watch this next video from the National Centre for Science and Education. The speaker tells how the creationists were able to pass the bill in Louisiana.

Not all americans vote for the same people. the population is influenced by media and belief. to generalize that all americans are "stupids" is foolish. if i was a science teacher in any of these states i would be fighting against it. i wouldn't want my child to be taught lies about a scientific theory based on it conflicting with someone else's unbackable beliefs.

bottom line...when you bash an entire country because of a few groups of people.......well it makes you look like an ass.

here's a thought...
from what i saw on a video some time ago, regarding the space-race going-on.
That because of the russian gaining advantage, americans started to focus more on their science and improve it somewhat. how much of a theocracy would america have been if not for the russians?
