Addendum:

I should probably make clear the difference between the Kitchener Poster being derided as a "myth" in the Telegraph article, which depicts Kitchener, his pointing finger and "Your Country needs you" as pretty much a stand-alone poster, as opposed to the very same image and text being incorporated into other posters, as in this example.
