So Relic has released a F2P Microtransaction version of Company of Heroes called Company of Heroes online.
Company of Heroes is a WW2 RTS and is, in my opinion, the best RTS ever made. It's more complicated than Starcraft but it also slightly slower. It has a 3 resource system and ALL resources are out on the map, none in your own base, so you need to mobilize right away and start fighting.
It has a cover system along with things like suppression. It has a much stronger vehicle mechanic than most RTS games because small arms fire aren't going to do jack to a Panzer IV so you need to have anti-vehicle and anti infantry units to be successful.
Things like mortar, V2 rockets and artillery barrages destroy the "blob and move" tactics found in many other RTS games.

Keep in mind, this game is BRUTAL to the new player. You will suck, you will suck for a while, but learning the game properly creates one of the most epic RTS experiences you will ever have.
