So Long, and Thanks for All the Spork​

Some news, everyone!

Over the last four years, The League of Reason has been, variously, a sanctuary to report, discuss, and receive advice on DMCAs, a meeting place for the great and not-so-great to hash out their differences of opinion and perspective, and a home for discussion on any and all topics (yes, even Should Lolicon porn be forbidden??).

For this, I am extremely thankful. For the times I've been right and bloody well knew it, the times I was completely, utterly wrong and tasted warm humble pie (because we all know pie is better than cake); the blogs that went over my head, the podcasts that got into it; the chatroom, the debates, the charmers, the ingrates; the spoiled, the rotten, the best-left-forgotten...

...but before this becomes a eulogy, I should get to the point. It is, with some sadness, that I must inform you that our webhamster CosmicSpork is retiring from the league.

It's difficult to imagine what LoR would be if it had not been for this chap. From the site's design and maintenance, to the logos, blogTV and YouTube channels, the IRC (and Reezn)... like a sexy juggernaught, he just gave... and that makes him mighty*, for without him, it would have been just a transient free-hosting forum.

So now, dear internet friends, please stand with glasses aloft and air in your lungs to give this unnecessarily humble man a hearty three cheers, huzzahs or mazel tovs!







P.S. I am taking over Spork's role. Soz.


*Yeah yeah, but if you're going to paraphrase anyone, it should probably be Malcolm Reynolds.

Ah so sad. I liked Sporky a lot, great chap. But Prolescum has been around for a long time and I'm sure he will keep things going.

One small technical note, I saw that my RSS feed for the blog has changed to all forum posts not a big deal as not many blog posts occur these days but something to double-check at some point? (possibly just due to the re-direct of the fact that the social applet on the blog is not supported by google reader).

A mighty shame, this is, losing one of the few rodents not only capable of designing and running a web site, but an exceptionally skilled one at that. I wish you luck, Spork. Same to you, Prolescum, but with added congratulations on the appointment.

As for the email, I don't think I have any real suggestions for the overhaul. Site runs smooth, indexing is neat and well categorized, and the fonts aren't tacky. That's all I demand, but then again I really only lurk anymore, so I'm not the one to ask ;P
