Supreme Master Television - Religio-cultist form of veganism

Every now and then, I run into some advertisement in the form of a flyer or a video advocating why we must be vegans. Not just vegetarians but strict vegans. The advertisement tells you how our consumption of meat is contributing to, among other things, global warming and wastage of resources such as water. Interesting message I'll think to myself, but when the words "Supreme Master TV" fall on my eyes at the end of the advertisement, I know I have to take this with a huge truck-load of salt.

The website is Supreme Master TV and they have a sister website God's Direct Contact (yea right!). The Supreme Master herself is Ching Hai, who is a mix of Vietnamese-Chinese, born in Vietnam. She's not that big of a shot, but still she's making some impact by gathering quite a following. It seems she's financing herself by making her followers buy their needs directly and only from her. She has also been criticized of her flamboyant and materialistic dress sense which was seen inappropriate for a spiritual teacher by some.

Searching LOR, I found no discussions about this religio-cult. So I thought I'd stir some discussions. What do you know about this "Supreme Master"? What are your opinions? What are the facts about this cultist form of veganism (and maybe veganism in general)?

On her website if you click "Footprints of God" it comes up with places she has been. Clearly a megalomaniacal nutcase.

She's on Wikipedia. Beyond that I can't give anything else since I never heard of this cult before.

Imagine if plants could scream while they're being cut, cooked, and gnawed on. :/ same as animals they suffer in one form or another. Fact is, we need to eat in order to survive. Hehe.

They made that video "Meet your Meat" or something.
The one that seems horrifically brutal until you see this dude punching a Baby cow. And then you begin to wonder:
"... Wait a second. Dude's punching a Baby Cow in the face. The fuck? And how did they get all of these angles in a secret location with such good clarity?"
And then when they get to talking about fish, I just quit bothering. You do the same thing in net fishing when you catch a fish yourself - kill it (hitting it against the deck/cutting it/etc.), gut it, and then cook it (fried, preferrably with some Ketchup).

Yea I've seen that Meet your Meat video as well. Very gross to watch it, but then it still doesn't have any impact on me. I continue to Eat my Meat. lol.
