Sources for free to read papers

I occasionally browse google scholar for papers of interest, but the problem is that the vast majority of them ask you to pay to read the paper - which I can't afford to do. It also gets rather tiresome trawling through loads of papers you have to pay for, in order to find the ones that you can read for free.

So I was wondering if anyone know of a source where I could read scientific papers without having to pay.

Yeah that should be a more plausible option once I start college and get myself in closer proximity to the library.

Many colleges also have access to papers.

Nature, NEMJ, and other journals usually have a few select articles free.

PLoS is a great open-source journal.

If you have specific requirements, and as long as they're not too numerous, I have contacts who have institutional access to pretty much everything out there, although I am reluctant to abuse it, so care in your choices is appreciated. PM me with details and I'll speak to some friends of ours.

Thanks for the offer, currently I'm just collecting resources for my forthcoming college course, and planning my essay - so I don't really need anything specific at the moment, just trying to gather together sources so I'm more prepared (I'm determined to do as well as I can dammit!).

If I do need anything specific in future I shall bear your offer in mind, although it's not overly likely that it will be necessary on a course of the level I'm starting at.
