I finally got around to start making videos. This is my first attempt so let me know what you think.

Excellent video. Wonderfully put together. You need to work on your sound quality though. It was very low. Besides that, excellent job.

You might want to provide a link to this thread in your description box as well. The comment section at YouTube is horrible.

Thanks. In what way is the sound quality low? The overall volume or the clarity or both?

Good idea. Will do.

Hi Pro, some critical comments here, if you don't mind.

First of all, SWOOOOOSH!

That is the sound of the contents of that video going straight over the heads of just about all creationists, and surely quite a few non-creationists, too - myself included. That said, the contents seem academically sound, so...

Second, and this ties in with the first point, perhaps you might consider... well, dumbing it down a bit, make it more digestable for the layman (heck, maybe even thrown in a fantastically nerdy paleontology joke here and there!), since this is essentially aimed at creationists, not college graduates.

Lastly, a few comments on the delivery and presentation - and do take these with a grain of salt, because they'll be based purely on my own preferences:
You're speaking VERY fast, sometimes so much so that you seemed to run out of breath and some of the words got almost cut off. Also, the delivery seems very monotonous and disengaged. I'm not expecting David Attenborough here, but try loosening up a bit and enjoy it more perhaps.

I do think you're awesomely fast, which is something I usually enjoy, like with many of AronRa's videos, but it can also be relentless information overload without any pause.

And yeah, you certainly seem to have your shit down, but again, I wouldn't really know because most of it is way beyond me. :)

I hope that wasn't too harsh criticism. It was certainly an awesome first attempt, and I'm mostly just picking on details here. Good job all in all!

The overall volume is low. Sorry for not being clear in my earlier post.

Thanks. Will change in the future. I posted the script in the description a few days ago considering the audio quality so I hope that helps.

Speaking of the audio, you could also probably stand to speak a bit slower,

Not that the video isn't excellent, which, by the way, it is. Well done.

i am interested in your video and would like to show my creationist friends, but you are talking way too fast and it sounds like you're reading a script. this makes it unconvincing and difficult to recommend to someone who is strong in their beliefs. If you redo the video, make the pace of the images much slower and the speaking very much slower with more colloquial language that smart kids can even understand. The content is very good, but I can barely understandit as you are speaking really very fast! I woudl be grateful if you do take teh time to redo it. Good work.
