So, is Manchester a nice place to live?

Seems to be a lot of mixed opinions out there on the web so I thought I'd ask for the League of Reason's official opinion on this. I have never been to the U.K. but I think the houses and apartments there look nice..

We don't have official opinions.

I've only ever driven through it so don't have much of an opinion. Mancunians are responsible for at least one atrocity: Oasis.

Sure you wouldn't prefer Russia? Creationism and anti-gay rhetoric are more socially acceptable there.

My only personal experience with Manchester is going past it on a train, so I don't really have a opinion on the subject. Though my chatty neighbour in the next seat, who I didn't know, said "well, that's enough of Manchester for this year" (meaning, I took it, going past it at 100 kmph once a year), which I found funny.
