Skin Tag Remover...

Ok...

So I'm at work today (new job, yay) and on one of the TVs they start advertising this stuff that removes skin tags. I have an annoying lot of them, and have thought about seeing a doctor to see if there was a way to easily and cheaply remove them.

So enter this commercial for this stuff. I'm watching, thinking "hey, that might be just what I need" - says it takes a few weeks to work, which is cool, I'm fine with not having instant gratification on it. Then I'm watching as it notes that it's approved by some homeopathic council. Right then, I sighed and shook my head, abandoning hope for this stuff. I don't even remember what it's called.

Anyway, anyone familiar with this kind of stuff, know if it might actually work? I'm leery to try anything that has a homeopathic stamp of approval, but I'm hopeful for a way to get rid of these damn tags too. Or anyone have recommendations on methods to remove them that don't involve ripping them off painfully?

A dermatologist may freeze(via q-tip dipped in liquid N, leaving temporary mild soreness) or at least do this for warts. Other option may be locally anesthetized removal with scalpel. Costs may or may not be covered by insurance under the pretense that such procedures are sometimes done to reduce skin cancer risks.

Goto a sewing shop and get some thread....you now have something that can be used to fix clothing as remove a skin tag. Seriously, a nurse at my drs surgery once told my that if i wanted to get rid of some sticky out moles on my neck i'd just need to get some cotton and tie a loop closed around it and that should cut off the blood supply and it would drop off naturally and neatly. By simple extention it should work with skin tags.

This is what they regularly do on "Embarrassing Bodies" on Channel 4 - tie some thread around the "tag".

In one episode they went to a beach to advise people on skin care re sun block, dangers of skin cancer, etc., and loads of people came over with "tags" to be removed.

Kindest regards,

James
