This is just north of my hometown. Definitely pretty hilarious to me.

On the other hand, if you build a giant statue out of a steel frame coming out of water, and cover it in flammable materials... not that surprising that it got struck by lightning and burst into flame. But that sure would have been a hell of a picture.
