I am sure you know those flashes of genius or insanity you get, while under the shower.
Why not share them with the world?
I ll start with a few:

Jesus actually took the virginity of his mother 2 times, first, when he came over her, as the holy ghost, then when being born.

Whats first? Electrical and chemical activity in the brain or thought? What if both happens at the same time?

Imagine the planet and now lay all the infrastructure we created over the image, anything fron roads over rails, to copper wires and fibre glas connections, nevermind radio towers and satellites. Now what occured to me, is that we might have accidentally created a being capable of thought on a celestial scale.

So the brain is using the grey matter to form thoughts by lighting them up with electricity and hormones ... what about the soup our brain is swimming in? Wouldnt it at least be possible, for some electromagnetic resonance to create something using that medium?

Cant we just collapse all matter in the universe into one point, by speeding it up to near lightspeed, making it possible for atoms to pass through each other by accelerating them to near the speed the electrons creating the hulls are moving at? And the increase in gravity to almost infinity would actually make it easier to clump it all together in one spot.

First guy using crispr to give himself horse legs is gonna need to get a name change to Satan.

If you substitute God for king and Angel for soldier, the bible all of a sudden makes sense and turns into the story of a conquerer creating his kingdom and then excercising his power after consolidating it with acts of cruelity.

My shower thoughts just involve shit I wanna do today.

That sounds like we're starting to get lost in the woods, to me. None of that infrastructure generates thought, even if it allows us to communicate on a celestial scale. Maybe we could create an AI that could take advantage of all that infrastructure? I'm not sure how roads and rails would be involved.

If this is the kinda shit you think about when you're in the shower, maybe you should try taking baths instead. Or just go all out and don't wash, ever.

Human activity could create some sort of information and roads connect human activity centers with each other, same for the railroad.
And we currently produce a lot of information just by turning the lights on and off, could always convert that to binary and see if something coherent turns up.

The idea was to leave your flashes of insanity here though and not to comment mine, but well, whatever works.

@*SD* So .. what are you thinking about?

Do you have a moment to talk about our lord and saviour Skynet?

Well, I mean traditionally replies will be directed to the OP, and discussion of the ideas floated then ensues, but maybe I'm weird like that.

Whats WAU?

Had a similiar one .. what happens if you breed a warlock with a paladin?

Hey, I'm playing a warlock parading around as a paladin!

WAU is the thing that makes Soma a terrifying game. The monsters are just a distraction.

I wonder if a Druid/Nature Cleric multiclass could turn stone into heavy armor.

Get yourself some dragon scales instead!

In my (sadly) single game of D&D - which I played last year - we saved reality from the Tarrasque and an ancient golden dragon scratched off some scales for us in reward. Best thing is: it's light armor (so full dex mod) but with the AC of medium armor. And it provides protection against charm and fire! Our druid was rather happy, all in all, and my paladin didn't complain about having golden plate armour - I was at AC27 at level 6! :D

That sounds like one wild game.

That sounds like one wild game.

It was the first time for all of us and we paid an experienced GM to run a game for us. Lasted a year! It was good, but I really think it matters who you play with as, unfortunately, the guy who set it up seemed to want to play a different game than the rest of us.

arg-fallbackName="Greg the Grouper"/>
Oh, who you play with definitely matters. Matching expectations is really important for longer term success.

"So .... what are you doing for work?"
"I am a dungeon master."
"Ah .. 50 shades of grey!"
"No ... Dungeons and Dragons."

arg-fallbackName="Sparhafoc"/>
Yes. I think that is automatically true the moment you even passingly consider the concept of D&D - autonerdom.
