Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Christian

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

TC seems rather hypersensitive about people saying anything bad about Christianity. Rather ironic considering he video tapes himself saying that atheists will burn in hell.

The other irony of this video is that TC takes issue with the idea of someone seeking attention. Meanwhile, he posts his youtube channel in every one of his threads.

It seems there are one set of rules for TC and a completely different set of rules for everyone else...

I wish the American media would do this to creationists, denialists and other attention whores.

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

Wow.
I had not realised that TC has such a "colourful" history of trolling and attention seeking. He seems to rival VenomFangX in his self deception, double standards and sad, self-limiting indoctrination.
I guess I should pay more attention to those on the other side of the metaphorical "lake of fire" that divides YouTube on this issue. As a rule, I enjoy the intellectual challenge of reading/watching opposing views, but in the case of religious zealots I simply have better things to do. As a result, I was entirely ignorant of his reputation and engaged his post on face value...

The last video response was funny.

What about the Bill Hicks reply to Christian fundies: did I offend you? Well, forgive me...

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

Seriously, boo freaking hoo. You're no better except that you do your "bullying" on the internet but cry the victim when the tables are turned. And really, for every "atheist bus bully" you've encountered, I've ran into 10 theist versions of bullies.

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

Oh, wait, are we playing "poor old black cat" now?

And of course, christians would never think of doing such things, like calling at people's homes, preaching to them, getting on their nerves and such...

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

I'm sorry to say this, but boo fucking hoo. I don't like religious people forcing god on me but I don't call it "discrimination".

If anything, there should be a law preventing discrimination against atheists. Roughly 50% of Americans say that would not elect an atheist as president. Now that is discrimination.

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

If TC does indeed wish to seriously count the potential offence caused by the expression of opposing views as discrimination, then it would be quite possible for atheists to begin legal complaints every time someone knocks on their door to tell them they are going to hell, every time they pass by a church with a sign condemning sinners, every time they hear a street preacher soothsaying about end times, every time US TV tells atheists to shut up about Christian erosion of the separation of church and state, the list is endless. Does he really want to open that can of worms?
This is especially true if the absurd notion that atheism is a religion is upheld by courts as it was recently in the US.
The recent sentence passed on an atheist in the UK for "religiously aggravated harassment" might well be tested using this formula. If religious views are held to be legally above criticism and their satire considered criminal harassment, then it surely follows that atheists can pursue claims against theists for threatening damnation and defaming character.

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

You need to look up the meaning of 'discriminate'.

The guy you met sounds (if your telling is accurate) like a right knob head, but descrimination?
Get over yourself.

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

his only problem was he was an ass

I don't buy the story.
I don't buy the bullshit.
I give guys who ask for change for the bus a quarter quite frequently. Not ONCE have they EVER remained to ask me about my religion.

As far as being cocky, I think you're cocky, truthfulchristian.

If you were preaching the truth to me like you preach "the gospel", I would knock your teeth out.

Well, actually I find him quite hilarious. I love the part when he quotes the bible, saying that, we should preach the gospel to every CREATURE. I mean, I just can,´t wait to see the first missionaries in arfica trying to convert chimpanzees and just think of all the poor amoebae that are already burning in hell for not knowing about jesus or the part where he defines preaching as: "reading parts of the bible and then explaining them to others" and so exposes gods failure to express hisself clearly and come on, the irony at 2:55-3:23 is just priceless. Seriously, I am thinking about uploading this video on my channel with a smiley in the sidebar.

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

Well that takes the cake one guy asks you questions and all of a sudden thats discremination. buddy keep in mind that atheists have an idea and ideas can be worked on and changed but it takes belief to start a war. besides i cannot tell you how many times in my life i've been told "your going to hell" for simple ideas i have about the universe.Despite the fact i obey all the same commandments from your bible. i simply don't need the threat of eternal damnation just to keep me from stealing and murdering. discreminating atheists that's a laugh next your going to get mad at them because they cannot prove their theory while yours is absolute fact because the bible says so. quite simply sir next time just argue back if you can and stop being such a pussywillow.

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

Well, this is starting to look an awfully lot like yet another TfC Hit-and-run(tm).

I suggest people forget about this thread until (if ever) TfC actually returns to address all the rebuttals to his argument.

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

There is such thing as a Discrimination Act, I suggest some of you guys look it up. It is practical and it does serve a purpose, for example, if you were working in the Hospitality industry and you didn't serve someone because of their religion, they could possibly sue you for Discrimination.

I have also noticed that the League of Reason Forum User called "Demojen" has threatened to hit me. Let me remind you, sir, that this may be considered as a threat, and I can possibly take the appropriate action if I choose to.

**This is not legal, advice, I am not a lawyer, nor do I claim to be**

I may be inaccurate or maybe even ENTIRELY WRONG on these issues about the Discrimination Act. If you wanna learn more about the Discrimination Act, try using a search engine or contact a lawyer. I take no responsibility for anything that happens as a result of this post.

Re: Should Atheists be allowed to discriminate against Chris

OK, boy, so please, tell me, how exactly have you been discriminated against by this man?
Just to be sure we're talking about the same thing:

unfair treatment of someone because of their religion, race, or other personal features
How were you treated unfairly, what didn't you get someone else got on grounds of being a christian?

And as for demojen: Note that it's a conditional phrase, not a threat.

Yeah yeah, poor you,.....perhaps you're beginning to appreciate how the viewers of some of your more hateful videos must feel.

BTW, I asked you a straight question and now i'd like a straight answer.
Here's a reminder:
