Search Lockout?

In the "Forum Views" dropdown, I've noticed something peculiar. If I click on "View your posts" and then clikc on another search, the forumtells me that I cannot use the search feature at this time.

Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. Please try again in a few minutes.

Is this to prevent bot attacks? It's rather annoying when I'm trying to see the new threads.

There is flood protection on the search, but it was only 15 seconds for registered users. I've dropped it down to 5 seconds now, see if that helps.
