This is an important first step that can help the case in my country: the Belgian authorities have been preparing a huge case (12 years of research!) against Scientology. This can get big: Scientology Belgium is prosecuted, as well as the European Office for Public Affairs and Human Rights of Scientology Church International. The accusations are very serious:

membership of a criminal organization, fraud, extortion of members, abuse of trust, violation of the privacy law, and illegal practice of medicine.

The parliament has already catalogued Scientology as a sect.

This will become a very long legal battle, and Scientology is doing everything it can to stall the procedures. It'll take years, but let's hope the justice department will get them in the end. At times like this, I'm very proud of my country.
