Anyone else playing it? I managed to get it for free with my shiney new xbox and so far so awesome. I'm loving the massive open multiplayer world and solo play is amazingly cool and one of the best and engaging stories I've played.

I'm going to have to wait another half a year for the PC version to come out.

I imagine it'll look 75859855 times better running on a PC than an xbox, and that'll be impressive because it looks amazingas it is.

I'm probably gonna try it out within the next few months. I don't have xbox live and it isnt really worth it with the shitty connection I have here. I've just finished Alan Wake and are about to finish The Forgotten Sands. After that some Split/Second and maybe FF XIII, then I'll probably do a second playthrough of Mass Effect 2 (easily the best SP game I've ever played) and THEN I'm gonna try out Read Dead Redemption. Phew, next few months are gonna be very busy :ugeek:

i found this game way too easy, but enjoyable none the less
it seems they're making games way too easy to complete these days, probably for sales i suppose

Good game overall, minus the evil horses. My horses seemed to have an uncanny knack for wandering away whenever I needed them to be very near by, and continually clopping around right behind me when I wanted them to piss off so I could hear anything other than hoof beats. Also, you know that douche move you pull with the car where you pull up to let someone in, and as they start to do so you start to drive off, but then you stop, and when they get close to the car you start to drive off again, and keep doing that over and over? Yeah, my horses kept doing that shit to me.

Mine too, the horse AI is a bit crap but then I never had the same horse for more than 5 minutes, they suddenly dropped dead for no reason, fell off cliffs or got attacked by cougars. I spent ages tracking and breaking in the best wild ones I could find only for them to wander into the middle of a gun fight. Losers.

Did you ever shoot your horse while riding it? I did, so embarrassing. A cougar attacked my horse from the back and when I went to shoot it I shot my horse in the ass instead, killing it. I was promptly mauled by two cougars.

I also shot my horse while not riding it, but those times were all on purpose. Stupid horses.

I found it annoying that I couldn't get my horse to ride down a small drop, but if I was on foot and slid down a 100ft cliff the stupid horse would jump off after me.

I never shot it accidentally, but I did get annoyed with the 'default' ones you get after you lose one you've broken in and shot them for being stupid.

Oh man, I'm pretty sure I want this game! Unfortunately my xbox crapped out on me (circle of death). I remember the first one in the series and it was pretty amusing. But before I go through the trouble of getting a copy and fixing my xbox I need to know about multi-player! Can you play as the midget in the clown suit???

Not that I know of, but you can ride a Zebra.

Gotta be able to play the midget, man... they even gave him squeaky clown shoes in the last one. It's the last the last thing you'll ever hear.

I completed the game a while ago but didn't really enjoy it as much as other people did.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but the characters were not particularly engaging and we never really leaned THAT much about the past events. This made the story a bit boring and made me care very little when certain characters were killed off. Soem of it felt a little contrived too.

I like the large map and the minigames but overall I was disappointed. The campaign was just too easy and too short.

Anyone ever play Gun when it was out for PS2 and Game Cube? It was virtually the same, but the story was more engaging I thought. The map wasn't nearly as large, nor the diversification of missions and obviously the graphics weren't great. I still found that more enjoyable though.

I think setting it so late may have ruined it. The Wild West (for me anyway) was the very end of the 19th century.. golden age beign circa 1880. No automatic pistols, no cars... just personal opinion I suppose though.

I enjoy the multiplayer too though - thats one reason I may keep the game and not trade it in.
