Randy Pausch was an American Carnegie Mellon professor of computer science, specialized in virtual reality. After he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he gave a moving lecture entitled "The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams", in which he talks about the dreams he achieved and how he enabled those of others. He passed away in July last year, at age 47.

This is one of the most inspiring and upbeat videos I've ever seen, and honestly I think everybody should see it. It's over an hour long, but it's so worth it, especially the last 15 minutes, where he shares his valuable lessons in life. A truly remarkable man. Enjoy.

I've seen this before and rewatched the whole thing a few times. I found out I'll be using the Alice program in a few days, while I know it's probably nothing spectacular, it's just interesting to me because of the connection to this video.

I saw this a while ago and, to be honest, I kind of regret that I did.

I'm sorry, but I expected there to be an actual lecture where you learn things. All I got out of it were some personal stories and a few clichés about life.

Does that make me a jerk?
