My mother believes in some sort of quantum mysticism. On the phone, she said I am too narrow-minded about my "overly scientific views", and that I should read this book that she says "is very intriguing". A while later in the mail;

"The Medium, The Mystic, and the Physicist".
...I get a copy of this.
Unfortunately, I know pretty much nothing about quantum physics, and I feel out of place talking about it, even just on debunking quackery. I want to say that this book looks like BS, though. It looks to me like the typical hijacked version of quantum physics that you see on those videos of people talking who smoked too much DMT, or theists desperately trying to make their beliefs not only fit into science, but "completely change science as we know it!".
But like I said, of any subject, quantum physics is something I know nothing of. Anyone care to comment on this kind of thing? Should I bother to read the book, or just tell my mother I'm not really interested?
Let me know what you think.
