Placebo - without the lie!

A study conducted at the Harvard Medical School reveals that placebos not only work by means of positive thinking, lies, deception... apparently they also work when the patient is fully aware that what they're getting is essentially sugar pills. In other words, it's possible that the actual medical "ritual" is tricking the body, all by itself.

Pretty neat, huh?

I'm surprised this hasn't been posted before. :)

Have fun!

There was a thread a while back in which I was arguing about the ethical use of a placebo and the doctor lying to their patient. I can't find the thread but I like that now the doctors don't have to lie.
