Pissed Catholic Mother

arg-fallbackName="PuppetXeno"/>
I saw that one some time ago. This mother should see this video being replayed again and again to her. At some point she's going to have to admit she's not being a very good christian there.

'you're an atheist - no presents for christmas!'

I thought we were supposed to be the materialists?

I thought the same thing. Wow, no christmas presents, poor guy is paying such a heavy price.

I was waiting for her to withhold easter eggs next. Why did they have to stop recording :p

It also means that he doesn't have to buy presents for his asshole mother, so that's not a total loss.

he should have said something along the lines of "i don't care because i have given up MY belief in santa claus, have you checked reality recently?"
he had the opportunity.
in a strange way, even though i am grateful beyond words for my parents and particularly my mother for bringing me up atheist, a part of me wishes that i could have had a 'coming out' and the opportunity to debate my parents into next tuesday.

Trust me, you don't want to experience that, especially if your parents are sore losers.

I saw this a long time ago. I bet the kid realized his parents would freak out and that it would best to record it.

The other brother was probably thinking "damn it, there goes the Xbox."

Well he sorta look like a little jerk with his hands in his pocket and the sunglasses indoors... Maybe he was looking to provoke the mom. But no denying that the mom is postal.

"NO PRESENTS FOR YOU MICHAEL, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT, IS JESUS CHRIST"

Present = Jesus?

One of my favorite videos of all time. :) When I move out, I'll be telling my parents, and my over religious grandmother. Can't wait.

I'm avoiding telling my grandparents, even though my grandfather is a pastor for 45 years. I'm afraid it might upset him so much that he has a heart attack (seriously). I love my family more than enough to spare them the effect that a religious discovery would have on them :)

I had a similar experience when I recently told my mom that I am an atheist. However, her reaction paled in comparison to this woman. I would feel terrible if she was my mother; it is amazingly difficult to be able to anger and upset someone you care about over something that is truthfully very simple, and yet beyond your control.

The violent tendencies of creationists upon discovery of a non-believer really scare the daylights out of me.

I saw this a while ago... after I had come out to my parents about it. They were pissed and told me I was being militant about it in telling them. I told them I thought they deserved to know, and they calmed down after a few weeks of ups and downs. My sister goes to an evangelical ministry that goes after Middle School kids (it's the hip thing to go to for those youngsters ;) ... little do they realize) and she thinks I'm insane.

Anyway, I always wonder whatever happened to that kid.
