Hi there.
Several athiest have asked me to get my ass in here. So here I am.
Vogter2100 is my YT name.
Im 50 years old and have been an atheist for 38 years.
For many years religion or god was not an issue I thought about more than a couple of seconds on from time to time.
Things have changed with the muslim 'invasion' in Denmark and with 9/11.
It has strenghtened christianity here too.
Make people express their faith more than before in my lifetime. And it started to bother me really much here in Denmark some 6 years ago when the public servicer P1 radio started using priests every time they wanted to talk abolut ethics and morals. The christians hijacking these concepts pissed me off bigtime and I startetd being an active atheist and sometimes even an antitheist.
I a member of Ateistisk Selskab an atheist organisation in DK that promotes atheism and calls the rligious idocy. It is also working to take the Danish People's church out of the state budget.
If you are not born with another religion you pay church taxes here automatically. (I was born a catholic so I never paid that tax) And that I think is idiotic, seen in the light that most danes are not really religious at all. They use the chruch for baptising, wedding, and such things but they almost never attend church on sundays.
It is like 4% of the adult population here that goes to church regularly. That is why I think it is utterly ridicilous that danes have to pay church taxes automatically.
You can sign out of the Danish People chuch when you are 18. It is just a matter of aquiring a piece of papoer ans sign it and post it. But all to few do this.
