Post your photography here

I enjoy exploring a ghosttown, go in some houses and taking pictures of them. Thoughti ts a shame that the whole town is covered with graffiti, I don't mind graffiti, it's a work of art sometimes but there it's just too much.
So I started exploring this house

Then I noticed this hangar behind the house.

While taking these 2 pics, realizing the house was being used by other people at one point, I heard voices upstairs so I quickly got out of there.

So then I was walking around and I noticed this fancy building, I didn't go inside it because if the previous house was used, that one certainly was too.

This seems like an ice place to sit down, I wonder what the candle is for

I like the last photo, unlike the others, it seems out of place. ^-^

That's how these things tend to work out.
The bank forecloses, and then shuts down. What you're left with is titleless land and open houses... X.x

Atleast you have somewhere to run duiring the Zombie Apocalypse.

It's because the Antwerp harbour is near the town and was going to expand so the government set the entire town to be demolished and told the people to move. So most people moved but the demolition never came, sure some houses are destroyed sometimes, but at this rate it will still be here in 2020. Also because of the economic crisis the harbour postponed the expansion.

House1, it used to be fancy I think, unfortunately all the wood started to rot.

It might not be singing, drawing or fret-tapping, but this thread probably comes under the "Creativity" section. Hence I have moved it.

A little rabbit I once saved from my cat, she brought it in my room while I was sleeping in the morning(my window is always open and she can get on the roof). Luckely I managed to take the rabbit away from her because she once brought half a rabbit in my room at night and covered my room in blood while I was sleeping.

What HDR software are you using for those? The first one is right up my street. If you're on flickr pm me

My workflow is really messy (if there is one), but what I do to make the sky look dramatic is paint adjustment layer for it, underexpose, add contrast, saturation etc (I actually usually use camera raw for this - You can easily see brush strokes on the pictures if you look). One trick to get unrealistic amount of detail/texture is to use highpass filter with overlay blend mode. Then, if it's needed, I develop raws with about -1, 0, 1 exposure, merge them on photoshop (merge HDR) and play with the settings.

I'm certainly no pro at editing pictures.

Here you can look at the pics in bigger sizes: https://picasaweb.google.com/111184682545926753857/Sekalaiset?authkey=Gv1sRgCLCKvMyt5vTUHQ#

Oh, one trick btw is to use circular polarizer (CPL) filter on your lens when taking the pics. I use a cheap one I bought from deal extreme for something like 5 dollars.

I noticed annoying background on one of the pics.

I don't if this can count as a tip, but here's what lens blur filter in photoshop can do for people like me who don't own a $1000-2000
200mm/2.0 lens,

Hmm, so a kinda manual HDR. Interesting.

I might have a go at something like that, I'm not usually a massive HDR fan but some times it works to great effect. I'm seeing about getting my hands on CS5 this week

couple of days ago I edited and printed a picture for a friend from our hunting trip this fall. I think it turned out pretty good in relation to my skills in photoshop. So why not share it and try to get this thread some life again? (Come on guys, me and Leci cannot be the only ones shooting pics on this forum!)

Here's one from hiking trip this fall as well. Those birds were wild, but very trusting (tourists must've fed them, as it is a popular hiking route). At first it was cute, but their constant nosiness got really irritating quickly. :)

Dear Gods I may post some pictures of Hawaii on here.

You know the hipster "it's paradise to visit, hell to live in" sort of deal.
