Ozone Therapy

So. Anyone else hear of this craziness? Regretfully, I have a 'friend' who has been using the injection version of this treatment (yes, he is actually injecting ozone into his veins) for about 2 years.
What exactly is he injecting? If it was pure ozone he should be dead so either it's not ozone or it's very dilute.

Dunno. I'm sure it isn't pure, but how much or how little is unknown to me. I have entertained the idea that this so-called doctor might not be injecting him with anything at all, which would be too funny to ever let this guy live down since he is paying a whopping $75 a pop.

As far as I know:
1. Ozone doesn't do you good.
2. Injecting considerable quantities of gases directly into your veins may cause you a stroke, (small ammounts can easily be assimilated into the blood stream before it gets anywhere).

Given that the person isn't dead by now. he must be taking small dosages or non at all.

I think considerable is on the order of a few mL... a syringe of gas could easily kill you.

It is about that order of magnitude, but I don't know the exact ammount. I do know that it can take some but not allot.

Sounds fishy, to say the least... and either way he runs the risk of an air embolism by doing it. Why the heck would you inject an incompressible gas into your bloodstream? And one that has no scientific support of being GOOD for you in added quantities in that way?

@thread starter,

If you want to be certain, then seek information from a doctor because they are familiar with this sort.

When you have your doctor's opinion, show it to your friend.

It might be ozone water, in which case it's just water.

This.

Odds are your friend has been ripped off even more than you realize. He's probably injecting some harmless liquid - like water - into his bloodstream.

Hey, I just got "Ozone Therapy"
At my dentists. Ozone is a powerful desinfectant and therefore used to kill all those nasty germs that settled inside of my tooth canal.
So, it makes things pure, totally not infected by anything living
