Because your name is ajh, I would say you are f***ed. If your name happened to be something else I would say there is a way.......

It can be done with just about any modern combo printer or dedicated scanner... assuming you have the proper drivers for it.

You need some type of scanner:

> facsimile machine (send to a service that converts to a file)
> copy machine that can send to an eMail address
> use a flatbed or hand held scanner
> digital camera
> WalMart (I think they have a kiosk)
> UPS Store or similar

just of few quick thoughts...

You mentioned your printer has a scan function. That should be sufficient. Hit me up in chat later and I can run you through if you still need.

If your printer can scan, then use it as a scanner.

If not, purchase a flat-bed scanner (or better yet, replace your printer with an MFD)

Short on money? Just use your digital camera or cameraphone. With the right settings you can take a pretty good "scan."

Did the link I gave you and directions the other day help? Hit me on skype (depricated) if you're still having trouble.
