Obama: the Socialist, Marxist, Communist

A 'friend' of mine posted this as a 'good place to start' for why he believes Obama is a Socialist, Marxist, and Communist.

I haven't read through the whole thing, but I don't know how to reason with someone that links a website with Obama's 'ties' to all of the above such as

1. Obama's Father Wrote About Socialism - His father wrote a paper called "Problems With Our Socialism" that advocates 100% taxation of the rich, communal ownership of land and the forced confiscation of privately controlled land. Source: Greg Ransom, PrestoPundit

2. Honestly, this stuff makes my head spin, and I would like to know what you guys think about this, and how you would (if you would) go about arguing against someone with these beliefs.

I wish there was a guy who would interrupt every Faux News anchor parroting "Obama the Marxist" conversations by pointing out that he's not even a lib -- let alone anything further "left".

Ever heard of political conversions? Regardless of his parents and what he might have been in his youth, Obama as in the person who got elected in 2008 onwards is a moderate in american terms though of course it appears to me that this means nothing to the increasingly right wing republicans!


Also, David and Ed Milliband's father, "Ralph Milliband" was a genuine Marxist and you can find some select writings of his on Marxists.org. Does this make Dave and Ed Marxists/communists too? Of course not

Do the british public really care about Ralph Milliband? Of course not
