Nikola Tesla

arg-fallbackName="Worldquest"/>
Joe, you said that on the grounds of something being out of the mainstream, I give added weight to it. Like I say that's not true. For example, I believe a lot of the mainstream, and I am skeptical about some ideas which are out of the mainstream. Just because it's not mainstream doesn't mean that I'm going to automatically give added weight to it or believe it.

So, where's your evidence in reference to the Tesla conspiracies?

If you have some, present it. Otherwise, just bloody stop!

Joe -

So you do understand now that I don't automatically believe something simply because it's out of the mainstream, right?

Joe -

What's the point of talking to you if you do this :

- Make a point
- Realise that you were wrong
- Not address the fact that you were wrong, and then move onto another question

I'm not being interviewed, it's a two way process. I will never answer your latest question if you can't at least say "Ok I got it wrong" or "no I still disagree and here's why..."

Like I say, not an interview.

It is not an interview. You made a claim that you believe something. Everything else is distraction. Present your evidence or don't.

Here, let me help: "I got it wrong"

Now, where's your evidence?

Thanks Joe.

Now, if you could clarify your evasion-question?
Can you present your evidence for any sort of conspiracy in reference to Nikola Tesla?

arg-fallbackName="ImprobableJoe"/>
I guess I'll have to keep waiting?

Please, no posts about me and my posts. Present your evidence, please.

The reason why I was skeptic of this issue from the start is because I have dealt with it more often than I would like that I can simply smell it a mille away. And aparently I have developed a bad habit of cliche bunk patern recognition and over generelization, indeed not an apropriate habit but the damn thing keeps working.

The questions presented have been answered, if he wants to make a point let him do it only then we can discuss if there is any merit or not. If he doesn't have a point then just let the topic synk, it is a simple as that.

There is a very "I have my mind already made up" feel about this thread. I find it ironic that worldquest is calling Joe's question an "evasion question" when all he has done is evaded answering any questions...
In relation to this thread, I was hoping to find some informative information, as I have no idea what/who Tesla was... All I know is that Red Alert kicked ass.

You'll note that he completely abandoned his own thread when he was confronted with an unambiguous question that required a straight answer.

He made radio controlled submarines, that would have been a good unit for an rts.

Has he EVER answered any straightforward questions? He's the most evasive person I've ever encountered. He loves to jump on people for assuming things, but he refuses to answer questions: requiring people to assume things. Drives me nuts.

what is there to evade, you don't really need evidence to favor some conspiracies do you, because, if it was evident, it would not be a conspiracy theory kind of thing. just some rumors accompanied with a good imagination would do fine!

AGH! MY HERO!
HOW CAN I GO SO LONG WITHOUT FINDING THIS THREAD!

When I was in my devious, younger years I tried to make a lightning machine with a tesla coil out of my grandfather's workshop (this is the internet, so I'm not going to discuss my grandfather's job that would have equipment to do have such leftovers... Let's say that he now lives in a big house and the U.S. Government hasn't found it in it's best interests to force him into retirement).
Long story short, I decided to take the girl out to my lawn and show it off... I'm absolutely retarded and, in the name of cool, cut on the power before going over and cutting on the switch to the poorly-constructed coil (more problems? it rained earlier that day, so the ground was wet. Not to mention I was a shoeless hippie when I was 15) and, well, arced myself to kingdom come.
- and that hospital visit was what took my mind from being a scientist to being a doctor.

But I will always love telling THAT story...

Well we're all prone to the odd assumption from time to time. But what I find so ironic, and so funny, is how people who claim to be oh so evidence-based can make such a fundamental error as to assume that I'm a christian. It' seems to be the atheist habit, to assume that if you're not an atheist you must be a christian. And then when it's pointed out that I'm not, you get all tetchy, as though you're infallible. The error is so obvious and yet it's very rare for the other person to admit that they got it wrong, choosing instead to change the subject.

For the record : Atheists, if you want to refer to me as a christian, first you need...wait for it...drum roll...evidence of me being one. You know? Evidence? That thing that you go on about all the time, and which you ignore when it comes to this one particular issue.

Atheists are evil. You must be evil. After all, you're not religious. I have the evidence of your evil nature.

Hello people. I'm Worldquest and I'm what you might call a christian

asked and answered. You wanted evidence, how about the words that you typed, granted I did kind of just quote mine you because you go on to say that you aren't quite as Christian as you once were, but you DID say that you were in your own introduction. Plus the whole "you being a christian" thing is a huge non-sequitur because no one has mentioned your religiosity in this thread, only asked you to provide what evidence you have about Nicola Tesla conspiracy theory. Something you STILL have not done

Wow. More evasive bollocks that serves no purpose other than to pander to your childish fantasies. Just a straw man attack about religion and evil and blah'di freaking blah....

This doesn't even have anything to do with this thread, there is nothing in here about atheism and Christianity, the thread is simply about a man, and your unsupported belief that there was a conspiracy theory. Which you then consistently evade any questions with any relevance to this threads topic, and demand answers from others.

Why are people like this allowed to talk such nonsense on these boards >.<. I've only ever seen him stir up a fuss, get threads locked, pick fights with no evidence and throw straw man arguments/evade questions left right and centre.

The thread isn't about Nikola Tesla, it is ultimately about Worldquest and his attention-seeking behavior. And, I guess it worked. He jerked everyone around in yet another thread. Yippie for him.
