Need Help with Hoax project

Many of the Great hoaxes of the past have been done to promote Skepticism, I am going to do something Similar, and I am in Desperate need of Volunteers.

I Need:

Writers: I Am sufficiently desperate that I have abandoned the Idea of Standards for this Position, Just be Somewhat capable.

Psychologists: The Goal of this project is to Convince people, I need more help on how to do that

Tech people: The project requires Heavy voice alteration

Graphics People: Several Photos will need to be seamlessly faked

First, I'm wondering in the first place how it is at all useful to create a hoax and then claim your motivation to do so was in the name of Skepticism. Your premise seems to be at odds with the cause you wish to crusade...

Second, I would be willing to help with technical expertise if you explained the project a little bit more and if it wasn't some attempt to deceive people or create fallacious arguments.

The Goal is to demonstrate how easily someone can be fooled, The Amazing Randi Himself has done almost the same thing.

I don't need a project to tell you that I know I get fooled on a daily basis.

Being fooled is part of human experience as far as I'm concerned. Our senses are not perfect, our information isn't absolute, and the peculiar nature of gossip tends to bring about foolishness.

Read this yesterday, seems somwhat related. Though I happen to think they are wrong about a couple of those conclusions, the "hoax" aspect of it is interesting.

There's nothing here in this thread that could allow people to find out what it is, though.

perhaps, but it's very unlikely that sporty actually would go to this site... so it's sortof a secret...

i was wondering what would be an interesting hoax, would be an evolutionist version of the wedge document.
the big part of a hoax, would be that it need to sound plausible.
and as far as anyone, i think puppyturtle has a genuine idea what would make it plausible enough that people like sporty and shock would believe....

That's a Really Good Idea, no Srsly, Unfortunately, It's not what we Thought of. If you agree to help, You will understand why nephy-boy will be provoked by this, All i'll say is that it will make him thing the end times are upon us.
