NECSS (pronounced "nexus"), the Northeast Conference on Science and Skepticism, is almost here! It's the first of its kind in the northeast and is brought to you by the New England Skeptics Society (which puts out this lovely podcast) and the New York City Skeptics. I set the poll up similar to AndromedasWake's post about TAM London to try and keep things uniform. You are able to change your vote if you later change your mind. I'm hoping to get together as many LoR folks as possible. I may see if I can get a t-shirt printed with the logo so that there will be at least one LoR representative there.

I would like to point out that for those of you taking the commuter trains in, it's within a manageable distance to Grand Central Station. To walk to NECSS, simply turn right as you exit Grand Central Station on 42nd street, then take another right at Madison Ave and walk up to East 59th St and turn right once more! If you want to take the subway, your best bet is to take the 4, 5, or 6, which all depart from the basement of Grand Central Station, in uptown direction (signs for uptown will direct you to the Bronx) to the Lexington Ave Station (both local and express subways will stop at that location). Don't bother with the bus.

Here is info from the site:
ABOUT
NECSS (pronounced "nexus") was born out of the desire to hold a major skeptical gathering on the East Coast of the United States, specifically in New York City.

As its name suggests, NECSS seeks to explore the intersection of science, media, education, politics, and popular culture, and examine how we may best utilize that understanding to promote a more rational world.

NECSS is produced by the New England Skeptical Society and New York City Skeptics.
