During the latest atheist convention of Dublin, Generic Islamic lecturers corner PZ Meyers and unknowingly admit their unfalsifiable position: That even if the Quran is wrong...it's still correct

If the korran is false it is still correct? WTF is this bullshit. Either it is correct or not. And seeing that the korran is a copy of a copy of a copy, I would say that it is incorrect.

you should use the "youtube" function properly:
just click it and put between brackets the code after v=... ( for our case: uNqNKZePcn8) and you will see the video as follows

Another way that you could use the youtube function properly would be to not post random videos, that don't even contain the footage that you wish to talk about.

Re: Muslim unknowingly demonstrates his unfalsifiable positi

it was kinda sad that no one actually made that point when he was on the MSS.
as for appearance on the MSS, what a weazly little coward.
also hiding behind "people can interpert it this way" answers, while never really answering what his thoughts/opinions are. even idiots like warriorchristian, shock and nephy are more honest them, and that saying something.

Re: Muslim unknowingly demonstrates his unfalsifiable positi

I remember laughing at this "debate" when it first surfaced. They approached PZ Myers with absolutely no idea who they were challenging and they were subsequently put in their place.
PZ Myers "Aristotle made predictions similar to the Koran"
Adnan Rashid "So Aristotle showed the order of bones and tissue forming, just like the Koran?"
PZ Myers *shows the predictions but doesn't stipulate Aristotle was wrong, that these things do not happen in sequence but are simultaneous*
Adnan Rashid "So the Koran is correct!!!"

Talk about moving the goal post.

Re: Muslim unknowingly demonstrates his unfalsifiable positi

The thing about the quaran is Muhammed would make shit up on the fly to fit his agenda at that moment. Then later, when said shit would stick him in a bind, he would say "god told me that now its different" so that he could proceed with his plans.

ie
"Killing is wrong all the time"
"Killing is ok if its those guys"
(not actual quotes, but gists)

Whenever the quaran contradicts itself (of the many, many times), they call it "divine contradiction", in that both are correct. Therefore, I see clearly how muslims can believe that even if every word of the book is wrong, its still the word of god and becomes correct, making nature wrong. Yes, very simple and logical. I guess living in a repressive nation in the middle of the desert will open your mind to anything that promises sex and not feeling hot all the damn time after you die. Oh hey, you can even kill yourself whenever you want, and so long as you take some others with you you still go to heaven!

Im stopping there because I am getting angry and I could just go till I explode.

I love how they snidely ask him if he is an embryologist as if there is absolutely no chance that he is and then get owned once they find out that he *is* an embryologist. It would be like a person trying to make an astrophysical argument for something stupid by cornering somebody in the street, only to find out that that particular person is a mathematician/astrophysical theoretical physicist!

When you ask a random guy in the street if he/she is a scientist, it is very unlikely that he/she answer NO. But in an atheist convention, there is another story!

This is common place in religion because supernatural authority is the best authority when you're bluffing.

A supernatural authority is hence a superfluous authority.

"their unfalsifiable position: That even if the Quran is wrong...it's still correct  "

your subject title was accurate , that sentence is not. .. They didn't say the Quran was wrong. They just said the word is so generic that the quranic description was right scientifically.

A response would've been that even if that doesn't contradict science (though it probably does, and an arabic speaking infidel would've cained them), but even if the quran in its copying from Aristotle, didn't contradict science in that verse, there could be many places where it -does-. And these could be used..

Like semen originating from the spine. The formation of the embryo in the Quran or Aristotle probably does contradict science.. Or the water where salt and not salty waters don't mix because of an impenetrable barrier - it is only a semi-permeable barrier, so they do mix a bit. And the idea that any non scientist couldn't know it is false because people went out to sea and it could easily be common knowledge for them that the water in this area is salty and the water in that area is not.

here was a long debate between Nadir Ahmed and Dennis Giron on science and the quran
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghY19E-5Sso it's long, and doesn't focus on scientific errors, just against scientific miracles.

There is also a lot of faulty science in the Hadith, like this

September 19, 2008 on Al Aqsa TV Dr. Ahmad Al-Muzain: The Prophet Muhammad said: "If a fly falls into your drink, you should dip it in the drink, and then dispose of the fly, because one of its wings bears a disease, and the other wing bears the cure." This hadith was included in the Al-Bukhari collection. This hadith makes it absolutely clear that the Prophet Muhammad confirmed a clear scientific fact:/ If a fly falls into a vessel before a person drinks from this vessel, he should dip the fly in his drink, before disposing of it. Then he should drink the beverage, because it won't do him any harm. Why? Because one of the fly's wings bears the disease, and the other one bears the cure...
