meiosis in humans vs other species

So, I have a video claiming that meiosis occur more rapidly than in any other species. I have tried my searching, and I have not found anything to support this claim.
The best thing I could come up with was this http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16285

So I wanna know.. Is there any basis for the claim that meiosis is working faster in humans?

I don't know... what does speed depend on? Meiosis would go faster in animals that breed more frequently and have more offsprings, why would meiosis be faster in humans?

The idea is that the cell are reproducing at faster pace than in other species..

They are using mumbo-jumbo really.. (more so than me)
