This is just a reminder that the Lyrid Meteor shower is scheduled to peak on Saturday April 21 into Sunday April 22. I would also suggest that those equipped with a moderate telescope to check out The Ring Nebula (M57), which is located inside the same constellation as the radiant for the meteor shower (Lyra). While you are in the same neighborhood those that are interested should also try to locate and view Vega, not as good as the other two 'events' but still worth a view in a telescope. Both events should offer fairly decent views as the new moon will make viewing of the Meteor shower and Nebula optimal.
