Recently Mikefoz came into #lor on IRC and asked about Corp on Eve Online.
As I have been playing the game for a couple of years now and said sure, since my current character was Not in a Corp I formed one.

Our Corp Headquaters are located at

Uitra VI - Moon 4 - State War Academy School

My Handle in Game is DaSeth

You can sign up here > https://secure.eve-online.com/ft/FreeTrialSignup.aspx?aid=103543
for a 14 day Free trial (note that you will be limited on some stuff just like all MMOs)

or you can go via Steam and get a FREE 21 Days.

If you currently have an account there I would love for you to make a Post here informing us your Character Information so we can start sorting out who wants to do want (Miners, PVE Content, PVP so on)

Ok here is mine

Name: DaSeth
Race: Caldari
Gender: Male
Bloodline: Deteis
Ancestry: Scientists
Securtity Status: 5.0
Date of Birth: 2006.07.20
Skillpoints: 16,722,119

Currently flying Raven Battleship, However I am able to fly a Dreadnought (in 4hours) once I am able to buy the Captial Ship Books, and 6 days to fly a Mothership , and about 100 days to fly the Titan

Leave a reply here on your character information if you currently have an active (or even an in-active toon which you might start back up) If you do not have an account and decide to make one, also post that you have. You can set a way point to come to that star system which is listed above and join the Corp.

Good day!

I will also be making a video intro for the Corp to put on Youtube here in the next few hours, I need to capture some footage and all before going into it, and set it all up. I hope it might gain interest to other Freethinkers who Play eve, but have yet to hear of the forums and about us, so it could be pretty interesting. The video will be posted here once it is done, feel free to share the video and let others on Youtube & BlogTV know about it!

** Our Home Office has changed to

Uitra VI - Moon 4 - State War Academy School

.. This makes it easier to join, since if you start off as Caladri you should start near this system.
I have also added a Corp Hanger to store stuff and share between Corp mates.

If you have yet to do so go through Steam to sign up for free 21 days, We need people other wise I am goinga be forced to get ppl within game!! =/

Another Update...

I got an offer from a Old friend that I have known since I started playing Eve, it's to Join their Alliance and we would be able to go to 0.0 and Rat, Mine and there are 2 DED Complexes there. One is a DED 8 so that would be a awesome raid instance type deal, I am going to speak to the rest of everyone tomorrow on this and make the choice but honestly, as I have said the Game is best in 0.0 and you can always make a Jump Clone to be able to Jump back to empire(high sec) to run Missions when you wish. However once your down there you might not want to leave. I asked him how the War Dec is and he said they do not get War Decs on them, and don't have hardly any issues down in that zone, so it might be an awesome chance to have some real fun, specially Ratting, Mining!

If we do accept this we will have a leaving trip on Saturday to head down to 0.0 (Around 2pm EST on Saturday) Now for New Players I would not recommend coming down to 0.0 right off the Bat, it can be dangerous and only thing u will be able to really do is Mine (and you WILL need Protection from the Battleship Rats) However it's your choice =p~ JUST Make Clones (train the skills, look into it)

Will inform tomorrow

Sounds good. Really enjoying the game so far. Tried it THREE TIMES before and never managed to get into it, but this time it really has got me hooked.

Could someone explain to me what EVE Online actually is? I've heard of it, but I'd rather not download anything without good reason, as we have a silly 10GB per month limit on our internet. If we go over that, we have to pay extra, which sucks.
Anyway, what do you do? Is it a bit like "Nexus-The Jupiter Incident" or what?

It's a MMO, You can check out the video I posted on youtube (also above) on it, also you can check on youtube of other trailers and all for the game. Basically you create a player and you get a ship, you then need to learn skills to fly better ships and use better gear ( your training is done in Real Time, and can be done while your off-line as well) You can have a 24 hour que to setup skills to train that might only take a hour or so each. Some skills do take longer (and some do take 30 days once u get deeper into the game to get to Level 5 skills) You will start off in a Frigate, and move through multiple different frigs. You then can move to a Destroyer, and then to a Cruiser and Battlecruiser and finally a Battleship. Then you have your Tech2 ships which are normally just like frig/cruiser so on but special and can be used for different things), You also have your Mining and Hauling side, where you Mine Asteroids for the Ore in them, and then Refine the Ore to get Minerals which can be used to build items or sell.

Now once you get far into the game they also have Dreadnoughts, Carriers , Motherships and finally Titans which are currently the biggest ships in game. You can choose to do PVP, PVE (Missions, Ratting, DED Complex [They are like Instances and all with bosses), Mining, Trading, Hauling and so on.

Now the game is not for the weak minded, that is one reason I am posting it on here I figure most people here do have some brain cells , but this game isn't just a run around kill things level up deal, Go Ask CosmicSpork if you think I am kidding! LOL

Anyhow it's a pretty cool game IMO check out youtube and their site for more info, you can get a Free 21 day trial on Steam.

I've been playing EVE off and on from 2006 to now. Although my account is currently not active.
I don't know from the top of my head how many SP and such I have, but I'm a Minmatar Sebiestor Maile.
I can fly several Command Ships (I love the Nighthawk) and HAC's. Can use alot of T2 gear as well.

Whenever I reactivate my account, I'll drop you guys a line. :)

Should probably let everyone here know that the LoR corp has merged with another, larger corp.

arg-fallbackName="xxdjsethxx"/>
This is the Updated Information for the Corp.. Or yet where we went....

We decided to merge w/ another Corp which was already established in Nilsec. The Corp is also in an Alliance and we have an entire system to our self's which also include 4 POS (Player Owned Stations).

There are many Asteroid belts in all these systems (prolly nearly 10+ systems which you can run around and Rat in)
The Rats are Angels and some will have rare spawns such as Hauler Spawns.
Also we are able to Run Missions in High Sec to help people out.

To Join Great Expectations visit Yulai VIII - Moon 12 - DED Logistic Support [ GREAT EXPECTATIONS ] < & Apply / & Say your with LoR Member, also send Me a InGame Mail/Message to DaSeth or MSG me on IRC.

We will also be doing weekend Mining OPs where we Mine the crap out of a Belt for a few hours with Many Tech 2 Mining Barges, Haulers coming and going grabbin Ore, and Tactic Support to Tank the Rats in the Belts to Protect the Miners. This is a pretty cool time and awesome playing is here, chances to PVP are also available too.

Just Head to

Yulai VIII - Moon 12 - DED Logistic Support

or msg me

I like that the base sounds like "you lie!"

I'd like to join, but I think EVE would melt my computer. It's... um.. not a gaming machine.

Maybe I'll try anyhoo. :p

arg-fallbackName="xxdjsethxx"/>
You'd be surprised what can run Eve, I am using a AMD Athlon 3200 (2.2Ghz) 2gb Ram , nVidia 8600GTS and runs nice

arg-fallbackName="jrparri"/>
I have a 1.2 dual celeron w/2gb RAM, and an integrated  intel 945gm. Just to put that in perspective, for old times sake I tried to play Everquest (the original one) with all the "new" models turned off and the options down to nothing.

At 3-7 fps, it was unplayable. That is to say, Intel's latest and greatest integrated graphics are still crap compared to Nvidia's middle-of-the-road cards of 10 years ago.

If that weren't bad enough, I'm married to such a skinflint that if I gave her the choice of me spending $40 at strip joint, or $50 on a game, she wouldn't hesitate to demand that I choose the first one. I am a shrewd enough negotiator that I can somehow justify one subscription to one game, not exceeding $15/mo -- by not buying lunch at work and bringing fruit from home instead ( :? and I've lost weight! ).

However, my spending cash on a new laptop/pc would be met with uproarious laughter, followed by divorce papers.

But maybe on EVE, I can sit my fanny in a base and focus on refining/engineering/other helpful things that don't require space combat -- actually testing it this evening.
