The thing that strikes me is that he has virtually NO references to anything but the bible... On the other hand, why should I be surprised. :facepalm:

And then, it could be written by a 10 year old kid, copying stuff from an encyclopedia. I doubt very much that all those late nights and hundreds of hours on the phone was about actual fact checking.

Without wishing to offend the OP in this thread, I think the topic could be justifiably re-titled as: "Let's look at some of the fraudulent work of a convicted fraudster."

I think you'd be running the risk of giving the oxygen of publicity to the works of a convicted fraudster.

You could try making a series which provides an academic critique of the dissertation, but you'd still be running the same risk.

I am in no position to provide an academic critique... even though it's written at the level of a 4th grader...


I don't mind giving it publicity, as long as it's the kind of publicity Britney Spears gets these days:

OK as someone who has submitted academic papers for peer review, let me just start out with a few things.

-First, Patriot fucking University. I'm surprised a diploma mill like this even requires a dissertation. Wonders never cease.
-He didn't type this thing himself. What the hell kind of PhD candidate hires a typist to write his dissertation?
-Who the hell starts out an introduction to a formal monograph with, "hello my name is?"
-Why is it that I only ever hear the term "open mind" from people working backwards from a set conclusion?
-He cites his own radio show as a source for answers on the evolution debate. In other words, he cites himself as a source for his own learning.


After that, you basically have condensed every bullshit argument Hovind has ever made from completely botching thermodynamics, to atheists just want to sin all the time and evolution is their religion, to macro evolution. The only thing missing is his "Hovind Theory" about an impossible sphere of ice floating about the planet.
