I read on the Times Online today this article:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/middle_east/article6802598.ece

Its a cartoon where apperently "Its mission: to instil old-fashioned Islamic values in Christian, Jewish and atheist children".

I object to any cartoon religiously warping the minds of children but this to me is a disgrace, there is even a woman superhero wearing a Burka.

Anyone have an opinion on this one :?

I think that's pretty awesome, sort of?

Actually, scratch the "sort of" and leave it at "awesome."

cant wait for the episode with the girl's school on fire and the hero cant get in cause their not wearing their burkas (true story)

"The story follows a group of preternaturally gifted Muslims: The 99, each with a superpower that mirrors one of the 99 attributes of Allah."

i bet the "all seeing" wears red glasses
how about the all knowing wont he tell us how to do every thing !?
the creator...this dude must be full of win :D

tbh i find interesting to see how he puts the characters to reflect those stuff , that is if hes going for all 99.

Ignorence is bliss right ? :p
On the other hand, did you actually read the article you linked to? This is a response to negative, violent, anti-Western media coming from extremist Muslims, so we should at least respect it on that level.

Yeh i do respect it for that, i just dont like the sound of 'teaching traditional values' .

I find any movement to promote a way of life which involves detaching oneself from free thought and rational thinking to be disgraceful. Especially when aimed at children.

What's wrong with promoting a positive life-style without having to implement some fictional super-being to control it??

There are much better ways to remove the negative view of Islam caused by extremists.
