I was browsing my youtube account when suddently this appears without warning in my inbox. What say you? Why not visit the site and do some debunking, if not, ignore it.

The issue, to my mind, is why bother invite me, knowing that I am an atheist? Narcisistic tendencies? Haha, I'd like to think so. I know I'm not the type of person who is vocal with respect to these sort of things.

Not that it actually does so, of course.

As for the question, they certainly should, but more importantly, they should study the bible very carefully. Only by truly understanding the bible does it become patently obvious that it bears no resemblance to reality.

Any document is only as strong as its weakest claim, and there are some pretty weak claims in the bible. Anybody with more than two functioning neurons can see that a book that can't even correctly count the number of legs possessed by an insect cannot be relied upon.

Nice one.

To be honest, I've gathered some interest in their arguments, of course, time will tell if they will adress the issues I've raised in their forum. I do hope I won't get banned for doing so, but if they do, then that's the end of my little adventure in newapologia.
The easiest method in determining whether or not a religion or church is a cult is by observing the assertions made by the leader of the religion/church. If the leader make assertions and claims that seem inappropriate or conceded and unverifiable, then the chances are good the leader is a cult leader. Claims of divinity or reincarnation and demands for isolationism are also good signs.

Now this made my eyes blink twice because by this definition, all Christian beliefs are cults. After all, one cannot prove god's existence, therefore the forum itself is a cult.

Yeah I'd say that sums up Christianity pretty well.
Edit: Maybe we should make it a point to refer to Christianity as a cult, and refer to the religion as "Christian mythology."

I agree in calling Christianity a cult; but not with respect to Christian religion, maybe the latter is better classified as Christian Dogma because religion contemplated herein refers to their belief in the Christian God, and we can reconcile in the context of dogma that the Christian religion holds the opinion that the Christian God exists. Maybe, we can call their bible as a collection of Christian myths.
