im going to sue MTV

not really... but i was wondering if i could sue MTV for consumer fraud.
the reason behind this, is that the amount of music on Music TeleVision is so minute that it can't and shouldn't be called MTV.

if i were to decide to do it and win, i would demand 1 dollar (symbolic) and that atleast 51% of the programs (excluding commercials) are directly about music, be it video clips, concerts, news about musicians, etc...

what are your opinions?

I don't imagine your name has to be a legally accurate description of the service you provide. You'd also have a pretty hard time convincing anyone you've personally been injured by this, which I suspect would be necessary.

They dropped the "Music Television" caption from their logo, and only kept the acronym. So I don't think MTV still stands for music television.

Who still watches that crap anyway? I grew up with MTV, back when they actually played music videos. Ray Cokes on MTV's Most Wanted, ah, those were the days. Cokes now presents a program about beers on belgian tv...

I haven't watched Empty Vee in probably a decade or more. And considering the current state of popular music, maybe we should be glad that they don't play much of it? :lol:
