Good morning, day, evening or night. (Depending when you are reading this.)

I'm new, obviously, and quite wide eyed at the moment. There are a lot of very interesting things on this forum to read and think about, I barely know where to start.

I would like to warn those of you reading this, tough. English is, unfortunately, not my native language, nor is my knowledge of it as vast as I would like it to be. I might make errors in grammar and spelling every once in a while, so don't be too harsh on me.

I am originally from Sweden but right now I am residing in Australia with my husband and I have done so for the past year and 8 months.
I am an atheist, I am artistic and I love to bake, usually while singing along to Rolling Stones songs or reading Edgar Allan Poe.

I don't think I have all that much more to say at the moment.

I am looking forward to reading and participating the very interesting discussions I see here!

Welcome aboard!

So you're Swedish, atheist, artistic, you love to bake, you like the Rolling Stones and Edgar Allan Poe, and you're way too modest about your writing skills...
your husband is a lucky bastard :D

Hello there, and welcome aboard.

Firstly, I wouldn't worry about the English, because you seem to have an excellent handle on it already. And secondly, there are quite a few around here with English as a second language, so you're not alone. You've got a huge advantage in the write-a-poem-in-a-non-native-language thread. :D

Welcome aboard, IndependentVision!

Baking, and reading Poe? So... can you bake an Edgar Allan Pie? :)

Ok, that was really bad...
But if you want more bad puns and weird jokes, come join us in the chatroom. :)

Enjoy your stay!

Because I don't wish to say anything generic, instead, I'll just be straight to the point. Ironic is it not? Welcome.

Thank you all for the welcome! :)

I might be a little modest every once in a while when it comes to my writing abilities. I find it saves time for those rare moments when I am lazy and let my grasp of the English language loosen a bit too much.

Well hi there, lucky-bastard-who-is-married-to-IndependentVision!

You get the same welcome as she. :)

Although don't feel so privileged from your marriage to her that you don't deserve an introduction topic of your own.

:)

I've always found it is better to ride on the wake of a hot Swede than to try and over take the sexy bitches. :D

I cannot refute your logic here.

Hello IndependentVision, and welcome to the forums. I am quite new here myself, and its has been a....simulating experience so far. It seems you have a good grasp of modesty, but be careful, too much modesty can be interpreted as a sign of arrogance ;) . I can already tell that your English is far superior to that of most Americans.
