Hello,

I've put out quite a few geology vids on youtube, but I've been wanting to start a series covering astronomy, geology, origins of life, etc. My idea is inspired largely by Cosmos and The Elegant Universe, but I'm having trouble coming up with a name for the series. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I was considering "The Nature of Everything" or "The Nature of the Universe". Any thoughts?

stardust: the evolution of everything

although use of the word "evolution" will probably cause controversy/confusion

great chain of being?

i guess e.o.wilson already used this one... but i really like the word "consilience"

maybe try Cosmic Consilience

(i also really like alliteration)

anyways good luck picking a name. hehe

Depends on the thrust of your series...

If it's like Attenborough's "Life" series - the sheer wonder of it - or a science-oriented one!?

For example, "Nature Rocks!" (Cosmos-/Life-type wonder) or "Rocks of Nature" (fundamentals of/behind Nature).

Kindest regards,

James

Way of the scientist, totally.

Or simply something boring like "Universal Nature", "current knowledge", "Stone Cold Facts: now with 100% more logic", "Where do babies come from and other things that you might not know about", "Armed with science/knowledge/logic", "Answering so you don't have to ask the question", "We were hoping for some bunnies in the cambrian, but it was not to be", "Bananas are science, too", "Searching for questions"(Science grows with the questions), "Just to let you know", "The random chance made chuck norris: Infallible logic", "I want to say i told you so".

Yes, that is correct. I am an idiotâ„¢.

I'm watching "Planet 9 from Outer Space" (arguably one of the worst movies ever made) while reading these, and I must say that If I ever write an autobiography, I'm going to call it "Where do babies come from and other things that you might not know about" and the preface will say "We were hoping for some bunnies in the cambrian, but it was not to be".

I also considered:

The Mysteries of Science
Mysteries of the Universe <---- may be some copyright issues w/ this one.. see http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Mysteries_Of_The_Universe

but then I worried that a creationist might misread those as "ministries of science".. but then again, shell shock my do them some good.

I've been waiting for somebody to do a 'Way of the Doctor' series, in response to Comfort's 'Way of the Master'.
But that's only because I'm a Dr Who fan... :p
