my dear friend ppsimons states that EVOLUTION is responsible for the male chauvinism in the world
I said that Christianity (like other religions) state that women are the inferior as stated in 1 timothy
A fundamentalist friend told the that:
"Yes, women are inferior to men (only in a slight level because Adam sinned too and it was his decision). It's not like the husband is the master and the woman is the slave.. (unless you're an american liberal, you won't ever understand the concept of that)"

Yes, major facepalm in that discussion, which you may have noticed that I joined, too.

I don't feel like I'm tearing anyone apart. All I feel is like I'm bumping my head against a solid wall. Hard.

It's pretty infuriating, honestly, and I'm trying to avoid having to spend too much energy on these people, for the sake of my own sanity.

I can't help but wonder how evolution could possibly suggest that women are inferior to men when the Y-chromasome is continuously getting weaker.
