I Had a Dream

Story

In this dream, I was walking through an alleged haunted house with several other members of this forum (I can't remember who) whereupon we found something that could actually be considered supernatural. On finding this we began conducting a series of independent tests to verify whether this phenomenon was actually supernatural and to create a model of how we would explain it. Eventually 2 of us came up with 2 different, yet workable models explaining how it worked and we debated on whether it was truly supernatural or not. I contended that it was supernatural, whilst the other person (Gileil I think) said it was not. At this moment AndromedasWake, PZ Meyers and someone else, I'm not sure who, came out from behind the haunted thing and laughed at me saying that they were producing an illusion of something supernatural and that it actually wasn't supernatural at all.

I became depressed and humiliated and woke up thinking that I spend WAY too much time lurking these boards.

I thought I'd share that...

Yes. This is funny. You even dream about the topics found in this forum. Don't you think it's your mind's way of organizing your thoughts?

Guys, whoever knows something scientific about how dreams work, please share your ideas.

Anyway, don't let it get to you. In my case, I realize that if I sleep 11 am, I usually recall a certain dream and wake up exactly at 4pm. It's weird. I mean, when you wake up, it's like the dream is a trigger to get back to reality.

The logical part of your brain usually kinda cuts out when you dream, so wee, flying cats are totally normal. Also supernatural stuff makes total sense.

Except apparently his brain knew that it was illogical, as we all ridiculed him for it...

Could be a fear thing. Afraid to fail to see through a lie or an illusion. Ridicule would just be the expression of the shame he'd feel for himself.

Yeah, I won't let it get to me lol.

But if there is someone who analyses dreams out there, tell me what it means when your dreams have background music, narration and plot twists.

Yes, I'm generally not happy with my critical leniency around crazy ideas. I am skeptical, but sometimes I'm too open-minded.

Perhaps it means you watch too many Guy Ritchie films
