How would one pretend to be theist?

To pretend to be atheist is trivial. You simply ignore the things that you take on faith. Should be quite a revealing exercise actually.

To pretend to be theist you must actively make stuff up. Since I contend that there is no possibility of differentiating between faith based claims (can you think of a way), the gist of it is that you want us to play make-believe. So, what should we choose to play make believe with? And how should we defend the position?

Since my existence is analogous to that of a hamster loose on Tokyo city, I'm going to enjoy the scenery and interpret it in a way that maximises my personal happiness. After all, I don't know of many other hamsters who have better answers.
