She's removed her account that's it - job done.

p.s - how do I delete my post!

There is a red button near the yellow report button, click it to delete. If it's no longer there, pm a mod or post a message in your thread requesting for deletion.

The girl removed her account. Does that erase the effect of her acts? Once done cannot be undone, unless it's a save point in a game. Therefore, it will not erase the effects of her prior acts since her removing it will not make the injured forget how they felt and it will be remembered by those who were hurt.

--

I pity her and i wish her the best. I hope that the people she hurt will forgive her too. Their forgiveness is beyond our power and only they can do so. ^_____^ What can we do? Leave it be since it is beyond our control.

Of course not, but it is an on-line self-expression site, no matter how awful the comments made in the video were (troll or no troll) if the user removes their whole account then so should any links/mirrors of that user be removed. YT should put some automatic link like this in place at least.

Obviously we share different views on this, would be interesting to see what happens either way.

Getting angry at her video after she said she's trolling is like falling into a trap that was shown to you.
She wasn't being serious! I don't understand why people are angry at her :?:

Satire often makes fools of people caught in its storm. It's certainly the case here.

I wonder if that could be a recognised defense?

"But your honour, I didn't tell them where to go...
I simply went to a place that was discussing how bad she was and posted a map of her neighbourhood with the relevant landmarks near her house...
It's not like I posted personal information..."

Technology matters, scientist is scientist, people are ready

Conclusion:
theism is false
and
atheism is true

Hallelujah, atheist brothers, how come I have not seen it! Hallelujah! and give me his credit account to donate all my money!

PS.
because it is useful to my goal! I started to say that TF.is "the most intelligent atheist" on the internet and christopher hitchens "the most enlightened mind of atheism ever"! :)

Is it literal Thursday and no one wanted me to know?

Something's making him excitable and it isn't me. Perhaps it's the scent of barbaric atheism in the air, or possibly that he's rediscovered the pages of historical truthâ„¢ he once posted here.

It's probably the barbarism.

None of the information that was posted was illegal.

You think you'd see the point if I gave you it's coordinates on Google Earth and a list of near by landmarks?

The issue isn't that what you posted was illegal, it's that it was a stupid thing to do. Worst case scenario, someone sees her address on here or anywhere else online and does something very bad. Is that something that should happen because it's legal to post personal info online? No, it's bloody not. The internet if full of morons, the last thing we want is another Tony48219 happening because somebody though posting someone else's address online was an ok response to something on the internet.

Seriously, a bit of common sense will not go amiss in this instance.

Agreed.

I didn't know who she really is or where she lived - seeing that map, even with blacked-out landmarks, gives me *some idea* of where she lives.

Why make it easy for the "nut-jobs" out there?

But, as I said earlier, these sort of "poe" tactics don't help anyone and make both sides appear worse than they actually are.

Kindest regards,

James

Ah one of those. Gotcha. I must remember to note how semiopathic I am in my signature... Not that I am within my signature, if you catch my drift. :D

I don't really understand all the satire hate here. It's been used to make political and social statements throughout history; back to the Greeks, and I'm not sure how her "POE" video is that much different from the classic and much beloved, brilliant eighteenth century The Modest Proposal by Jonathan Swift, in which he brings to light the condition of Ireland with an official proposal recommending the pragmatic benefits of stewing Irish children.

Traditionally, it's those who failed to catch the point who have the most trouble with satire - and people have been whining about trolls long before Tolkein.

Oh, btw, Happy St. Patrick's day there. ;)

You know, EdwardCurrent has got style. When he's being a Poe, people know he's being a Poe. It's like how when a stage comedian cracks a joke, everyone laughs regardless of how offensive the joke is because everyone knows he's joking. This girl on the other hand is a failure of a Poe. She actually made people believe she's a christian. A fanatical one, that too. That's not how one does satire.

Well, okay maybe I'm mistaken that she's a christian. She must have been a Poe as you guys say, and a troll as she self-admits*. Now she's gone after she issued a super-short "oops" video that thankfully, she kept there long enough to be mirrored before shutting her channel down. I do wish she recreate the channel and issue a better clearer apology about doing the video. Anyway there isn't anything we can do about this whole situation except pray... (oops, did I just say PRAY?!!)

TF has made a very good reply video with rational justifications that would be very appropriate if this girl actually believed in what she said. Hence it is applicable to religious fanatics who would think like her Poe-self. Anyway if you think about it, hundreds of centuries ago, christians thought that earthquakes and other natural disasters are wrath of god upon non-christians and sinners. Even today, there are many muslims who think that natural disasters are wrath of allah upon the kafirs.

* Btw, what exactly does being a troll mean? I thought it's the religious jerk who goes around posting religious nonsense in all atheist and skeptic forums he finds, and never bothering about the replies.

Actually, it is; satire doesn't conform to a single format. At all.

I still don't get the whole controversy. Insensitive, terrible, stupid, what have you; she is still just a person whether or not she is a repugnant example of one. The internet is full of people who said the same or worse, hell Pat Robertson and Glen Beck said the same on television.

She trolled, so fucking what. She didn't hurt anyone. As she pointed out, the same was true for Haiti, were they just too damn dark to be offended on behalf of?

It's ridiculous that she now has to seriously fear for her safety, and that of her family.

A decent article on the subject:
